Hey all! I'm a new member on here, but I love the environment and think it would hold me more accountable to post progress on here. I'm going to go buy a journal to personally document results tomorrow, but I'm planning on updating this every day with my current weight and daily calorie intake. I have never attempted the ABC Diet before, but I really need to lose the weight, and unless something major prohibits me from doing so, I fully intend on finishing. 

 

Some information about me: I'm a girl, almost 19 years old, 5'7" 1/2, and I've been sitting at 175-185 pounds the past couple years. I work out 3-5 times a week, but it isn't incredibly consistent. Currently a college student, but with the new semester I'm making my schedule as stable as possible so I don't get distracted from my weight goals. Since I live and eat on campus, food can be tough, but I'm dropping down a decent amount of money on vitamins and fresh food and vegetables when I get back this weekend so I can get my calories in a healthy way. My major concern is not having enough energy when I work out, which I plan on remedying with vitamin supplements. I'm planning on doing this for the full 50 days, but because of my involvement in sports, if it compromises my ability to keep up I'll need to adjust. 

 

If there's anyone out there that's 17+ who needs an accountability buddy, message me! :)

DAY ZERO (January 9, 2017)

 

Allowable Calorie Intake: 0

Ingested Calories: 0

Morning Weigh In: 171.8 lbs

 

Fast day. Consumed lemon water and 1 8oz diet coke. Wanted to prepare for ABC Diet and detox a bit. Walked/ran on the treadmill for about 45 minutes, burned around 250 calories. Felt hungry, but overall okay.

DAY ONE (January 10, 2017)

 

Allowable Calorie Intake: 500

Ingested Calories: 422

Morning Weigh In: 170.2 lbs

 

Breakfast: Apple (~110), Boiled Egg White (17)

 

Lunch: 6oz Baby Carrots (70)

 

Dinner: 4oz Chicken Breast (110), Boiled Egg White (17), 8/9 cup of Cauliflower Fried Rice (~85), 6oz Raspberry Emergen-C (25 calories, only ingested half)

 

When I was cooking the cauliflower fried rice and chicken, I had to sit down. I ended up drinking a ton of water and ate another boiled egg because I knew I was low on energy. After that, I felt a lot better, and continued to cook (the whole process took about an hour and a half, it was a new recipe and I had to chop vegetables). Dinner was great, I started feeling very full towards the end of my meal which I didn’t expect at all. I have another 91 calories to use by tonight, but I feel very full after dinner. UPDATE: Had half of a Raspberry Emergen-C drink. I hadn't had one before, but my mom gave me some packets to try. I didn't think about drinking it around 10:30PM, but it definitely made it difficult to sleep for a couple hours.

Dinner: 4 oz Chicken Breast (110), Steamed Broccoli with Tbspn Soy Sauce (42), 1/2 Fruit Smoothie (60), 8oz Sprite Zero

 

Got about 6 hours of sleep last night. Went to bad very full last night, not very hungry this morning. Mom bought me some Sprite Zero last night, which I'm happy about! Don't want to drink any more Diet Coke. Tried to make a cauliflower pizza, turned out alright. We threw a birthday party for one of my friends tonight- super hard to not eat any cake, especially when people kept offering it to me. I know I'll feel better in an hour when I look at thinspos and remember how many calories are in a small piece of grocery store cake. I know it's only gonna get worst from here, so hopefully there aren't many temptations this next month.

 

Cauliflower Pizza (whole serving): 7 3/4 oz Cauliflower (49 calories), 1/4 cup Shredded Cheese (100 cal), 3/4 oz Tomatoes (5 cal), 1/2 oz Spinach (3.5 calories), 1oz shredded Chicken Breast (47 calories)

 

Fruit Smoothie: 4 oz Strawberries (38 calories), 2 oz Blackberries (24 calories), medium Banana (105 calories), Isagenix Green Protein Powder (30 calories), 2 teaspoons Chia Seeds (44 calories)

Lunch: 2 cups Broth (20), 2oz Chicken (55), 1 Celery Stalk (6)

Breakfast: None

 

Lunch: 1/2 Fruit Smoothie* (120), 1 tbsp Chia Seeds (22), Chicken Broth (20)

 

Dinner: Apple Slices (30), Egg White Fried Cauliflower (93), 8oz Sprite Zero, Chicken Broth (10)

 

Today was definitely more difficult. More temptations to eat some chips, but I just drank a TON of chicken broth instead (which was not my healthiest idea. I picked a shit ton of salt over calories). Happy that tomorrow's 400 calories. I definitely feel the energy loss, and am not sure I will be able to maintain this when I start back school, solely because I'd rather wait and diet more heavily over summer break than have it affect my grades. My slowly transition to a 800-1000 calorie/day meal plan, but I'm going to wait and evaluate for another week. Wish I had started this a couple weeks earlier! Overall, good day. Lost another pound, and that's all that matters. :)

Breakfast: Apple (110)

 

Lunch: La Favorite Low Cal Tortilla Chips (60), Diet Coke (0)

 

Dinner: TBD

 

Weighed a pound and a half more this morning. Discouraging, but I know it was all water retention from all the sodium yesterday. I felt sick this morning; nauseous last night, a bit this morning, and I was dizzy and pale. I'm really worried about my energy levels, especially since I go back to school this weekend. I'm rethinking the ABC Diet, and might postpone it to summer break so the energy loss won't inhibit my busy schedule. I think I'm going to carry this out for a couple more days, try and get down to 165, and then slowly go back up to around 800 calories a day. I'm going to play it by ear, but I need to be responsible. I will keep posting here until I officially stop, and then make a regular accountability thread.  :) As far as today goes, I'm drinking a ton of water so I can make up for yesterday (I'll be so pissed if I'm not below 168.4 tomorrow!) I'll keep you all posted. I ordered some Methyl B-12 pills that are apparently great for energy levels, so if I notice a difference on those, I might be able to continue. I also might try and continue the ABC Diet, but change it so the calorie intake will be based on exercise and net gain. If I can work out on 800-1000 calories and lose enough to compensate, this might work.

I'd maybe not weigh yourself every day as you will fluctuate due to sodium and water retention etc maybe try every other? You're doing well stay safe
