I used to binge for free when I lived with both of my parents and my brother, and I still eat some food at home now but I almost always buy my own food. Getting a car was the main reason for this because of drive thrus helllooo! Last year Id give myself $10-$20 as a binge limit and would buy the cheapest food that I could find (ramen and bread mmmm). In the past year I have been spending more and more on expensive food or takeout. At this point im averaging $50 a day, up to $90 and pretty much always at least $30. every. fucking. day. I work to binge.

So MPA b/p fam, how much cash money do you waste? Do you spend anything? 5 finger discount?

I'm not a regular binger but, even so, when I'm restricting I still spend a lot per day.

Non-binge day:

2 monster zero ultra's - $5

1 long black with sf syrup - $5.40

1.25L of pepsi light - $2.20

Quest bar - $3.95 (or Lenny and Larry's cookie)

Popcorn - $1 x3 bags (the only brand I'll eat)

= About $19

and that's excluding all of the groceries my parents buy, which I'll usually chip in for if it's something I'll eat most of.

Binge day

Ben and Jerry's - $12

2 monster zero ultra's - $5

1 long black with sf syrup - $5.40

1.25L of pepsi light - $2.20

Peanut butter m&ms - $4

These ^ are my 'essentials', can't binge without them

Then I'll usually buy another $25 worth of food. I don't tend to binge on take aways but I'll usually get scrolls, scones or something from a classy bakery, some lindt chocolate, pringles, granola and vegan chocolate. There is no limit on what I'll spend on a binge, even if I have to pawn everything I own, if I want it I get it.

I did go through a 5-finger discount stage - mostly just swapping barcodes or 'forgetting' to scan things when I had to take unpaid leave from work. I never got caught but I realised that if I have the money, it's stupid not to just buy stuff. Plus the anxiety.

 I work to binge.

This

This so much

My #1 fear is that I'll lose my job and won't be able to buy binge food. It's pretty much the reason why I work so much. It's so depressing, hugs

OMG...Mine have gone from spending very little ($20)a day to, ...please don't judge. ... $300 or more in a single day. Like I've said before, it really is like a drug addiction. Incredibly progressive. I am planning on going inpatient hopefully at some point this year but it is soooooo expensive spending so much money all the time. I can't afford to have another botched recovery effort. FML

Each binge is maybe £10-15, average £12 if it is a full out binge (once a week or so) however I have smaller binges on large bags of crisps and a few chocolate bars so only £5. Trying my best to stop though!

Most expensive, I spent £15 in KFC then another £15 in Tesco buying ice cream, cakes, chocolate etc. That I spent about 3 hours b/p on in cycles.

before i got fired i used to waste a ridiculous lot of money on binge food.. easily 30-200$ a day

wasted my student loans on binge food..... in the matter of 2-3 months.

now i don't spend that much bc i shoplift/dumpster dive/binge on other people's food tbh i still make money selling b/p vids here and there but not so much and although i still do waste a lot on takeout i prefer spending it on stuff i can't steal (or make at home) like cigs, drugs, drinks/coffee if i'm out, taxi, etc.

Around 150-200 £ a month (that's every free penny at the moment :( just for the weekend binges rest off the week I have the "familyfood" for free (no real binges)

When I lived by my own I payed my bills and all the rest goes into the loo (over the years ~50.000 €)

I spend about 50 dollars a week on groceries now that I restrict.

When I was bulimic I could spend enormous amounts of money on food, particularly as a working adult with a steady income. The worst was when I blew an entire $1800 monthly stipend payment on food alone over the course of three weeks, averaging $86 a day on food. I still don't know how I managed to do it. My father is on my bank account with me and he knew immediately what was going on. It was humiliating.

Around 15.000 HUF per day, which equals to a bit less than 50 euros or a bit more than 50 dollars. My partner pays for my food and he has a well-paid job, so it is not an issue, but I still feel guilty for spending so much.

Last semester I'd buy binge food on Mondays and Wednesdays (I had a 3 hour gap between classes so I'd literally just go out, buy food, b/p, go to my next class). I'd go to walmart and buy their about to expire discounted bakery stuff (usually bread and sweets, sometimes their deli sandwiches were discounted and that was great). I tried to keep the binges around $5 but they were usually around $5-10, so essentially between $10-$20 a week. Doesn't sound like much but that was just binges and I'm a poor college student that shouldn't have been wasting that money to begin with =/

Today I got:

-Cheese loaf turkey sandwich ($1.99)

-Lemon bites (freaking amazing and 12 of them for $1.99)

-French bread ($1)

-Ramen (0.60 X 2 = $1.20)

I literally could have gotten a pack of cigs for that much. I'm not a smoker, just pointing out that even on a cheap binge day, I'm still wasting just about as much as a smoker addicted to nicotine.

i spend anywhere from $30-150 every time I binge, which lately has only been on my days off, so 2-3x a week. if i'm broke i do $10 binges, but most of the time i'm just like "fuck it". like today. i've already spent $80 on binge food, and the day's not even over with yet.

I used to shoplift laxatives but I don't anymore. Foodwise I just let some things slide if the self service checkout doesn't scan it or whatever. Still, I spend about $200-$250 on food per week.

Around £30. All of my binge food is expensive fancy vegan truffles and ice cream so it adds up. It feels pretty awful knowing that I have spent that much money on one days worth of food and it all gets thrown up anyway. That money could have been spent much better. I'm a uni student and I'm like -£500 in my bank overdraft.
It's not the poor gals lifestyle :(

I am really lucky, one of my "perks" at work is that we get catered food almost every day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

I usually pick at it, take it all home (sometimes I take home TONS!) then b/p.

I still probably spend 50 bucks a week on binge food, outside of what I get from work.
