Kind of pointless topic but I have sweet and regular potatoes and am hesitant if I should cook the regular ones or the sweet ones. I plan on making some chips and maybe I'll bake a part of them? I don't really care about nutrition besides the calorie content so I guess I will end up making the regular ones because they have less calories but anyway, which ones do you prefer and why? Also, which ones do you think are less likely to bloat me?

Sweet potatoes are good, regular potatoes are weird. Use the regular ones for chips because that's one of the few things they are actually good for.

I love sweet potatoes. They're also ever-so-slightly less calories.

Sweet potato: 86 calories per 100 grams

Regular potato: 93 calories per 100 grams

I like sweet potatoes but only if sliced very thinly and made into chips in the oven.
Regular potatoes are better for mash and jacket potatoes.

Where did you get the calories for regular potatoes from because I thought they had 77 calories per 100 grams?

Sweet potatoes.

100g baked sweet potato 90cal

100g baked white potatoes 93cal

Google. Sweet potatoes are all around better. Healthier and yummier.
