Peanut Butter Cravings?!?

Does anyone know why I keep having extreme cravings for peanut butter? It's always there, weather I'm fasting, dieting, or eating a lot. Sometimes I eat the all-natural, sometimes it's the Jif, it doesn't matter, I love it and can't stop myself from eating it. I just want to know why!

 

P.S. I'm a vegetarian, so maybe peanut butter has protein?

My best guess would be that you need more protein and fat in your diet, I get the peanut butter cravings often as well, I swear on a day that I can't control myself I could eat a whole jar with a spoon, its so so bad!!! But anyhow that's my thought

Well I'm glad it's not only me! And I do the same thing with the spoon, and I'm always like "just one more spoonful..." haha. It's just so good! Anyway, I think I might try eating more protein-rich fruits like apples.

Just a suggestion- I found this new PB2- 1/4 the calories and fat!  I love Peanut butter too, but hate the calories- so, can still have my craving and not feel so bad!  Its powder that you just mix with water.  Tastes just like regular peanut butter!

I get these cravings once in a while too, and I've found a sure fire way to kill the craving AND prevent the binge that so often follows.
Take a spoonful of peanut butter and freeze it. Later, eat it like a popsicle. It takes forever to eat and will satisfy every craving you had. Works for me, hope it helps.

I love peanut butter too! When I am feeling super hungry I eat a spoon full of it ... plus it has protein. I will try freeing it like a pop...that is a great idea.

I guess I'm lucky that I don't even know how peanut butter tastes...lol..I am not a fan of peanuts and I don't think we even have peanut butter in market in my country o.O never seen them..or just didn't look for them :D

I used to get really bad peanut butter cravings, but then I started eating organic peanut butter and it tastes less sugary so I don't want it as much.

I have two things of JIF peanut butter in my room. Regular, and the green Omega3 kind. I keep them to help me stay strong. So far they've stayed where they are. I still get the cravings though. Sucks because I USED to HATTEEEE peanutbutter. Which was great since it's so calorie dense.

My entire life I have really disliked peanut butter in any form. 

 

But the past week I have been craving it so badly, here I am reading this post and eating a spoonful ugh.

I've been lately having insane pb cravings. Never before have I felt this way, I've always fully controlled myself with pb. I eat organic unsweetened, unsalted one and now I can't buy a single jar. If I had it home, I'd eat the whole thing in one go. I guess my body is really craving fats all the sudden.
