Getting towards the end of day 4 here! I think I'm gonna come in exactly at my cals today. I walked 9.5 miles to earn some extra cals (I had a mini binge earlier- 300 cals of tootsie rolls!). So 50% of those cals should be enough to cover my binge...

I sense an impending "Whoosh" of weight coming off. I was restricting and exercising a lot before I started this but with the last 4 days of extra deficit I bet I will see something! I've been peeing a lot and feeling really jiggly (only my inner thighs though) so in theory a whoosh is coming.

Usually I only see a big change on the scale when I take a day off from exercise though... It's hard to take a day though, even though I know the water weight will finally come off!

No Whoosh on the scale today!

I'm only down by .6 lb so far... I know a rest day will help but it is so hard to do! Last time a took one it was because we had a May blizzard and it was snowing like crazy.

Today's goal is 950 cals but as usual I'm going to go crazy at the gym to earn some extras. I know I'll need it because I've only been awake for just over an hour and I'm already starving!!!

I know that some people would think that exercising to earn more cals (I add 50% cals burned through exercise to my daily intake goal), allowing myself to make up for binges with extra exercise the next day, and eating unlimited fruit and veg (because I eat some high cal stuff like apples, bananas, and grapes) defeats the purpose of something like HSGD.

 

But lets face it- I suck at restricting. So this is more like HSGD for wimps and it is perfect for me! Giving myself some wiggle room means that I am less likely to give up completely and really binge.

Plus I'm not really out to lose 10 pounds this month... I'd be happy with a pound a week!

Half way through day 1- so far 516 kcal (+ salad an an orange that I'm not counting in). Got myself a scale again too. Plus I discovered the most delicious and low calorie treat: Hartley's jelly! So.. good day so far

I'm at 725 out of 950. I haven't look at how much I burned in the gym but I did 2 hours of cardio so...

In other news I am getting increasingly cranky with my SO which is not so good. I don't think our relationship would last if I was like this all the time...

I need to figure out how to stop being a bitch when I'm eating less. Even when I'm not feeling hungry I am still bitchy!

 

Plus he goes through stages where he is more sensitive or something. He starts asking me if I'm OK constantly- the first time I know its about him and not me but that question pisses me off so much! So then I do start acting differently which means he asks me more and more and I get so pissed! Its a self-fulfilling prophecy I guess...

 

I don't know why that question pisses me off so much... probably because it implies that there is something wrong with me or my behavior and so I start obsessing and second-guessing myself.

Never ask me if I am OK. That implies that you think there is something wrong with me.

I'm currently struggling... I know that weight loss is not linear and I will not see results right away but my weight is going up! 

I know I need to take a rest day but it is so hard... especially because I'm feeling so guilty and frustrated.

I B/P'd immediately after weighing myself this morning. Oops!

 

I'll probably just try to take a really long walk today instead of going to the gym. That's a rest day- kinda.
