i practice (violin). can't eat when my hands are occupied. ;) or if i want to distract myself but not wear out my fingers, i'll go online and practice some ear training; there are like a zillion websites with ear training exercises.

 

what else...drinking warm/hot water, or green tea. put on some music and stretch/do yoga. search for poetry online. but i'm a nerd, so my ways of distracting myself from food might not appeal to other people. :P 

 

or i'll do some bullshit busywork that i've been putting off, like paying bills/sending in applications, cleaning my room/doing laundry, etc. i really need distractions right now because i'm on day 1 of a water fast!

 

sometimes when i'm fasting and have cravings, i'll write a list of everything that i would eat if i allowed myself to give in right now. then i look at the list, which is usually a mile long, and realize that there will never be an end to my wants and so what's the point of giving in this time?

I eat when I'm really hungry, but just a little bit, and then drink a lot of water. When I'm little hungry, I just drink water. And look at thinspo or go to myproana, or just go out of house.

I found coke zero takes my hunger totally away. Especially of a moring, Just one can.

Also coffee... I make mine by filling the cup 3/4 with water and adding maybe 40ml skim/no fat milk. This works too.

Tea is good, but not quite as effective.

Filling up on water is also good for prevetning snacking.

I wish I could have a cup of coffee/tea/energy drinks but I usually get shaky and hyper immediately so I cannot when at work. I don't fancy herbal teas so would have a big mug of hot water with a tsp of manuka honey (33 cal I believe). Then I'm okay...at least for a couple hours.
If I'm at home I'd just have a little kip :)

Does mustard really help? More than one person mentioned it, I'll totally try it.

I just drink lots of teas and zero calorie broth. Eating a teaspoon of mustard helps to.

NOT English mustard I hope! That WILL blow your head off LOL

i drink a lot of coffee because it makes me kinda nauseous so i don't wanna eat. i also go as long as i can without eating after i wake up because if i eat it'll just make me hungry all day
