just as the title states, i thought it would be nice for the orthorexia forum to have a "post pictures of your meals" thread of it's own. 

 

unless, of course, everyone thinks this could end up being triggering or a bad idea in any way, then in that case, feel free to ignore this thread! xx

I'll just give you an example what my today's weekend breakfast looked like:

This is a pancake out of chickpea flour, sweet lupins flour and a little bit spelt flour (so I guess it's almost low carb :D). The left sauce is made out of spinach and smoked tofu, for the sweet variation on the right I just spread some almond butter on the pancake and put some strawberries on it.

Very tasty! 

 

And that's my dinner:

This is a soup out of red lentils and spinach (as you see, I got tons of this in the refrigerator :D ) boiled with a carrot and seasoned with Indian spices. I decorated it with sesame and sprouts.

I love this idea. It makes me want to start a daily food/progress journal. Is there already a thread for that?

So that's my lunch for today: carrot pasta with beluga lentils, strawberries and rucola-tomato-dressing. I can't wait to enjoy it!

Too bad this thread doesn't seem to be so frequented. :(

Almond butter! It's soooo delicious. Too delicious, if you ask me. I'll always end with three tablespoons of it in my mouth. :D

Uuuh... just crashed in here and it feels awesome to finally be able to relate to other people's food... :) recently at uni when I took out my salad the girl next to me (eating pizza) was like: oh, you're eating quite healthy!? -- what the hell are you supposed to answer on that? "uhm, yep." (in contradiction to you,... ;-) )

 

So here are a few of my recent dishes

 

Breakfast a few days ago:

1/2 Avocado seasoned with vinegar, olive-oil, salt+pepper, some sundried tomatoes, olives and soy-yoghurt with cumin.

 

Another breakfast:

The salad contained: Freshly picked salad leafs as well as parsli  and basil, kohlrabi, sundried tomatoes, fresh sprouts, a seed-mix (sunflower, pumpkin, buckwheat), olives and a simple but nice olive-oil dressing. The fried veggies is just some leak and kohlrabi -fried in oil with salt and pepper. Yummy. The plate with the bread obviously belongs to me bf (eeevil bread) ;-)

For the chickpea pancakes you need these ingredients:
 

  • 200 g chickpea flour
  • 50 g spelt flour
  • 280 ml cold water or oat milk (or 50:50)

Prove for 20 min, then fry in coconut or rape oil. After that I just spread some almond butter on the one pancake, sprinkled some cinnamon over it and put strawberries on it. For the other half I fried tofu cubes with spinach, coconut milk and spices like curry, curcuma, cayenne pepper or what else you like.

 

For the spinach lentil soup you need this:

 

  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 cup of red lentils
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • water
  • 1 tsp. vegetable broth
  • spices (salt, pepper, asafoetida, indian curry, curcuma)
  • sesame
  • sprouts

 

Just cook the lentils and the chopped carrot for 10 min in the water where you added the vegetable broth. After that, you add the spinach and the spices and let it cook for another 5 min. If you want, you can add coconut milk here. Now you need to blend it until it's nice and smooth. Now decorate it with sesame and sprouts.

 

 

I don't know if I made it exactly that way because I never use recipes and sometimes forget to note what I used. But I hope it'll inspire you! :)
