I can't weigh myself very often, if at all, because my mom will ask how much I weigh and my parents are both suspicious of my eating habits... I can't get a scale in secret, so that is out of the question.

How do I figure out if I'm losing weight without the scale, and/or make good excuses to weigh myself? :/ I really need to know. I'm afraid I'm gaining.

Get a tape measure, or take a picture of yourself a few times per month. You won't be able to tell on a day-to-day basis, but in the long run, you'll know. :)

it's easy, there's a trick to it, you do it or you die.

A biology project works well for a one time sort of thing, do you have a material tape measure? Use that to take measurements or get to know your body with your hands. There are also a couple of ways to find your volume but they are very messy.

Both of those ideas are really good but you can also find out if you're losing a good amount of weight by how your clothes fit. Pants size isn't always the best because your hip bones will always be the same size, but how they fit in your fatty areas can always be a great indicator. Just make sure you don't stretch them out in between times you wear them by accidentally pulling them or anything.

I have some undies that are really small on me and a pair of small shorts that are slowly starting to fit me. I'm also keeping an eye out for a thigh gap, which is still pretty far away, but I'm waiting for it! I know about measuring, but it's hard to trust that around the stomach area because of bloating/having food in your intestines... :/

My parents are always wondering too, so I mainly focus on if I feel lighter. It's a little weird, but can anyone else just feel that they're losing weight?

How your clothes for, and progress photos once every 2-4 weeks. I honestly believe that is a better gauge then a scale - although it is always nice to know the number (:

Ohh, yes. This. Like, I put my fingers round my upper arm to see if they touch/how far up they can go to gauge progress sometimes. Also bones. And measuring. How lose clothes are, etc.

I still like knowing the number though, I freak out if I don't know.
