If its not too bad, I'll have tea made with electrolyte enriched water or a calorie free sports drink.

If it is bad, I'll eat a rice cake with whipped peanut butter - only 60 calories and a good boost.

I just sit down, even if i'm in the supermarket, I would rather get weird stares because I am sitting down, than be rushed to hospital and pumped full of fat  <_<

String cheese and something with electrolytes and a small bit of sugar (regardless of how much it scares me), such as 8oz Gatorade or such.

always carry emergency food in your pocket book/book bag.  this has happened to me too many times on the train and i hate being embarrassed so i've learned.  as soon as you get that hot/cold/woozy feeling.  find a seat.  if you're in a big city like i am and don't have a seat, i find if i lie and tell the kindest looking seated stranger i see that i'm pregnant and not feeling well, would they mind letting me have a seat, it works.  

 

even better if you're somewhere u can put your feet up or your head between your legs, but i understand in public that might be a bit too attention grabbing. hopefully you can make it to a bathroom or at least get off at the next stop to sit.  

 

drink water, or preferably juice, carry some gatorade with electrolytes just in case, sip it slowly b/c u don't want to throw up.  room temp is better than iced cold.  eat something, like a protein bar, even plain crackers or plain bread. hell, a snickers bar would go a long way.  just have something on you in case of these emergencies, recognize the signs fast enough so you can start to take care of yourself and not end up with an ER and ambulance bill of over $1000 b/c the ppl on the subway didn't know what to do but call the ambulance  -_- but you have deductibles and crap like that to consider.  sigh.

Gatorades or powerades, granola, or I drink low cal hot chocolate to get my blood sugar up!
