Have any of you lost weight by eating 700 - 800 calories a day?

So I've decided to try eating 700 - 800 calories a day, my question is have any of you lost a lot by doing this? If so, how long did take you?

any comments appreciated!

Some members on here eat about 1,000 a day and still lose. It depends on you, I suppose. For example, I can't eat more than 100 without water weight gain. Or just eat in general. I suppose I'm not really good help, since I usually fast more than I do eat/binge.

I have been eating no more than 700 calories a day. The odd day I do go over and since monday I have lost 2 pounds.

It depends on people.. several years ago I lost if I ate under 1,500 calories, now I seem to maintain eating 500 calories...

It depends on your bmr. I am assuming you would be able to. 800cal is the absolute most I will eat in one day, but I try to keep it under 500/day. How much are you looking to lose?

yes, I eat about 600-700 cals a day & I still lose

Yeah! On a normal day I end up between 600-700 calories and I've dropped a 3 pounds since Monday. I don't work out either so I think that says something about what calorie restricting can do. However I did just have a binge today so I probably totaled around 1000 D:

Ate 800 cals a day (sometimes even more) and lost 6 pounds in 9 days! It definitely worked for me- in fact on wiki it says (debatably) that anorexia sufferers consume an average of 600 to 800 a day. Try it for 2 weeks and see how it goes

Intermittent Fasting after a birthday binge. Eating only dinner / <500 for 3 weeks, weekends allowed up to 1300

 

 

NEW UGW: Thigh measurement of <16.5 inches (Tape measure is where it's at!) = approx. 92 lbs

 

Got to where 96lbs through 800 calorie daily restriction, veeeery little exercise, and one 1200 calorie day one day of the week when I work (and walk an extra 6 miles within my work) Would binge at least every 2 weeks however.

Wtf yes...?? If you eat less than what you maintain on you WILL loose no matter what. Most people maintain on 1600-2200 depending on their activity level/age/stats . You will loose faster the less you eat, obviously but you will still loose weight lol.

note to self: everytime you were convinced you couldn't go on, you did.

My normal limit was 700-800. Now I'm without willpower and my limit is 1000 kcal. I lose. And I lose more or less fast. I don't understand it, I can lose 300 g some day and almost 2 kg another, but, I think, my weightloss is fast enough if I don't binge. I binge often, it slows down(by binge Ivmean more than 2000 kcal) my weightloss, but,vyeah, it's possible to lose even with 1000 kcal a day.

I lost about 2 pounds a week eating 800 cal a day in the summer. I was more active then though.

I eat 1000 a day and lose because I'm so big and don't need to restrict heavily to lose. I haven't weighed in a while though so I'm not sure if I'm still losing.

Doing 800 calories a day on clean healthy food will help you lose FAT more than a diet of 300. I would add morning cardio before breakfast

I lose by 1000 kcal, as I sayd, and I never excersize. Maybe it's because I'm big? No, not overweight(bmi between 20-21), but I'm still fat and also tall. I just have no reaason to eat less.

The weight falls off me eating 912 calories a day... I believe it depends on how long you've been restricting for, how much exercise you are getting and your current weight (the more muscle you have, the easier to loose fat)

your body needs at least 1500 calories or more to function properly so eating under 1000 will definitely make you lose if you stick to it and don't binge more than once a week x
