I am on my third day and have lost 4 pounds!

My starting weight was at 128-129 ish

I have tried this diet before but it didn't work until i added some tips to help me get through the day!

Heres the tips to being on the 2468 diet:

-Spread your calories out!! you dont want to have used up all of your calories before 4:00, you will be starving by the end of the day and my starving I mean like painful uncomfortable starving not just hungry.

-Have grain in the morning if you are going to eat it! It will last you a while.

-Chew gum throughout the day, cinnimon i would prefer, it keeps your mind off of food!

-Dont eat past 8:00 (or 2 hours before you go to bed) THIS IS A BIG ONE. ITS WHAT VICTORIA SECRET MODELS DO:)

-DRINK LOTS OF WATER LIKE LOTSSSS!!

-And last, have a shit ton of will power, you will start to crave huge meals after the first week. If this happens, I would suggust working out a ton after you eat a sandwitch or something, but if you want results sticking to light low calorie foods works best!

THIS IS HOW MY FIRST 3 DAYS WENT. IT WAS HARD BUT ONCE YOU START SEEING RESULTS YOU WILL GET EXCITED. I DONT EAT A 3 DAY MEAL BUT I SNACK ALL DAY LIKE EVERY HOURTHIS WORKS BECAUSE YOUR METABOLISM IS ALWAYS WORKING. THATS HOW EVERYONE SHOULD EAT ANYWAYS.. A HUGE 800 CALORIE DINNER AT 7:00 IS JUST GOING TO ADD ON POUNDS AS YOU SLEEP! THINK ABOUT IT THAT WAY!

DAY 1:

3 hard boiled eggs(no yolk)- 51 calories

3 clementines-105 calories

1 cup of broccoli (RAW)- 30 calories

cup A soup spring veggie Lipton- 45 calories

TOTAL: 231 calories

DAY 2:

This fills you up > 2 cranberry pomegranate trail mix(180 snacks)- 300 calories

1 hard boiled egg- 17 calories

2 clementines-70 calories

TOTAL: 387

DAY 3:

honey nut chex gluten free (3/4 cup)-120 calories

pure almond light almond milk(1 cup) -40 calories

3 clementines-105 calories

NON-fat greek yogurt chobani strawberry- 100 calories

Special k chips cheddar-110

Cranberry pomegranate trail mix-150 calories

TOTAL:635 calories

I like this diet because you get excited you get to eat a little more each day. Its easy to follow too unlike the abc diet!

If you have any tips or low calorie foods in mind i would love advice!!! im getting sick of boiled eggs!

THANKS PROANA FRIENDS:)

Good tips! I had to quit this diet because my parents suspected what was up. My suggestion for the 200 day is weightloss shakes. I had some that were 100 calories each, totally filling. I had one in the morning and one after school.

Drinking hot things like tea always make me feel full and gets rid of hunger pains, at least for a while. I have an unsweetened cup of green tea and just sip on that for a while. It kind of distracts you from feeling hungry and, at least for me, makes you feel full for a while. Plus it's another way to drink more water which is always a plus!

Really great tips! This will definitely help me a ton

I like cucumber and tomato with a small amount of balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing. just slice the cucumber and tomato really thin, dip it in the dressing, and eat :)

Thanks for the advice! I'm only sticking to 200 or less calories a day, so what do you all think I should have as my 200?

How would you do the 2468 on days when you're at home with parents? Like spring break? I want to do this but a) my breakfast alone is 95 calories alone(almost half of the requirement for 200 cal days) and B) my mom would get suspicious on school breaks and weekends. Any advice?

Danny where the fuck are you?

I'm starting tomorrow. For dinner I'm cutting a whole in brown bread pop it in a non-stick pan so no oil or butter needed then crack a egg in the whole (yolk optional)
I might add onions as well and not eating the cut out pice of bread.

I'm starting this today- Raspberries are good because they only have one calorie each. I'm going to eat them a lot on 200 days because it helps with hunger without the calories!

love this, yay for you. I find tea and hot drinks my go too! Esp on the 200 days which I admittedly struggle a bit

also on the 200 cal day I try skip any meals or food till lunch or arvo or else I use up all my cal intake

I find the hardest part going from 800 to 200. Its like my body expects more food and I feel more hungry

I just started my 2468! I like to get two chicken bouillon cubes and boil in two cups of water. It kills the salty huge meal craving because 2 cups of broth actually feels like a lot in your stomach. And it's only 10 calories!

Does the 2468 diet HAVE to be in that order? So far I've finished one cycle and have lost 3 lbs in those 4 days however, today (which supposedly is my 200 cal day) I've eaten around 500 calories instead. I'm scared I've ruined the diet and will gain weight as repercussion :< Can the days be swtiched up?

I'm sure this can be done in any order. Being that its such a strict calorie restriction you'll see results in almost any variation of the diet. So don't give up because you had a bad day! Forgive yourself, and do better tomorrow!

As long as eat under maintenance you WILL lose weight no matter how many calories you eat a day. I made my own version of the 2468 diet to suit my schedule and ive already lost weight on it in only a week.
I do from Sunday to Saturday 700 600 400 200 400 600 700.

Everyone talks about needing the "higher cal day" to keep the metabolism alive but 800 calories is not going to boost it, its still too low. You'd need to do a proper refeed day if you want those benefits which is a CRAZY amount of calories which im sure noone here would purposefully do. The reason this diet works is its a VLCD (very low cal doet) AND psychologically its easier to stick to because there are what we'd consider higher cal days quite often to keep us sane and prevent binges :)

So far so good. I've technically only been on this diet for a week but I've lost a kilo, but this is great for me because I haven't been able to lose any weight for a while. I Currently weigh 45.8kgs (I'm 5'1 /155cm). Next weigh-in is Thursday so I'll know if I'm still steadily losing then.
I also haven't binged which is a BIG win.
