I want to start fasting over the weekends, but I'm hesitant because I don't want to fast and then have it turn into a binge.. is there any way I can just ease myself into it?

my suggestion is to start with a fruit fast but limit how much you have to about <300 cal and get less and less, or to try liquid fasts

I can't tell you that you won't have extreme cravings over two days of fasting. personally, I could never do short-term fasts because it takes me until at least day 2 or 3 before I stop getting hungry. then the rest is kind of a breeze, but everyone is different. if you go on a long(er) fast (10-14 days) then you should pay attention to how to break one (diluted juice, no solid foods the first day, etc.). then, if you stick to low-fat foods with no sugar, your cravings should be less.
