Actually that’s my favorite short story of Kafka if you haven’t read it you should

yeah like stkitty said, lots of evidence to suggest anorexia

inc a story he wrote literally titled “the hunger artist”! (about a mam who sees starving himself as an art, and makes it his career and entire identity by joining a sideshow/travelling circus and being one of the circus’ attractions)
