I appreciate the time put into it.

I do think that a site like MPA is somewhat destined become repetitive over time.  You will see the same topics or questions come up time and time again just given the specific nature of the site.  (I mean, surely at some point there is an end to new ED ideas, right?)  So I think we're just going to see the same topics, questions, thoughts, ideas, and that's okay.

Having said that, though, when you have a question about something or want to read someone's thoughts on it, this is definitely a good place to start!

I personally don't care if someone revives an existing thread or makes a new one but there seems to be alot of people getting annoyed at BOTH scenarios lately...

Yes, precisely!!! That's what confused me so much as a newbie. What are you supposed to do ?!

Locking threads after they're a certain age would take the question out of it, but unless that could be automated (threads six months inactive go into archive status or whatever) it would be an impossible workload on the mods.

I don't see why everyone wants to control mpa. Do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone! It's the Internet 😀

Not a newbie anymore, but I'm still confused asbout best etiquette on resurrecting zombie threads versus making a new one. On the one hand "necrobumping"; on the other hand, "don't make yet another thread about something." Obviously, it's not a cut/dried one rule to bind them all situation, but still.

Generally speaking the only threads the mods don't like necrobumped (from a moderating standpoint) are ones that are full of drama. We end up getting reports on comments that were in 2014 and it's a pain in the ass.

That's super useful. Thank you! I also got sick of seeing the similar threads everywhere. So that's going to be really helpful.

Woow, you are really so patient to add all these threads. But,yeah, thank you. It was really necessary, because every day over and over again I see the same topic in a new post, one after another, same questions, and same answers, instead of just one multipage post with additions to it. This is so kind of you to do it! <3

Past diagnosis of AN-R

Hw: 196 (89 kg) (high end of overweight)
Cw: 139 (63.5 kg)
Lw: 122 (55 kg) (underweight)

Gw: 190 - 180 - 170 - 160 - 150140 - 135 - 130 (60 kg) - - - - -  and hopefully maintain but who knows right?
I have a secret goal of 110 (49.9 kg) but it would absolutely interfere with life plans

This is really all a game
We know the rules and
how to
cheat, win
if you think you are in control
you're probably worse off
but.. we all know this
and don't lie, you like it
