Recently a singer IU has revealed her diet to the media.

So these are her 3 meals a day.Its sweet potato,apples and a glass of protein shake.
Also she has a hectic schedule dancing,working out,performing etc.
Her height : 161,7 cm/ 5'3.6"
Weight: 45 kg/100 pounds
Personally i dont see anything wrong with her weight (its not unhealthy to me) but i find it kinda twisted when kpop stars reveal their low cal diets because they are idols to so many people.People usually copy what they do (i know i do) and that can lead to unhealthy habits.(sorry for the rant)
I dont know...
Would you try this diet?

Oh sorry didnt clear that up. The protein shake is her breakfast, apple-lunch, sweet potato-dinner etc. Or she eats all of those things in one meal and doesnt eat anything for the rest of the day.(not sure really)

Basically all of  her daily intake  are those 3 things.  :)

At most it's probably about 500 (say 200 for the shake, 200 for the potatoes, 100 for the apple) again wild guess...

She ate 586 cals but exercised also :D

Holy shit no wonder she's so tiny!! :oo That's a very small amount of calories if you consider how much kpop idols work out...

I searched the net and found in this site: http://k-diet.blogsp...6/ius-diet.html btw there other kpop diets in this site, it's actually apple for breakfast, sweet potato for lunch and protein shake for dinner + exercise

Breakfast: A large apple (149kcal)
Lunch: Sweet Potatoes (256kcal)
Dinner: Protein drink (330kcal)
TOTAL: 735 calories
 
*She also did stair climbing for an hour a day, then stretching, then push-ups.
 
also, IU is known to reveal her weight to her fans when she's chatting with them, in her fan cafe... she talks openly about it and revels her worries about her weight openly. she admitted getting treatment for bulimia (http://k-diet.blogsp...atment-for.html) she also admits only having water or a little fruit some days to look good on TV, but in Korea it's normal so for them it is not a big deal. In Asian people are more open to talk about weight and say to someone "You've gained weight" and stuff like that.

what a nerve wracking undertaking!

yes, there is a part of me that's saying: "hmm...pencil that in." gosh. i want to try it—if not to remind myself of why i stopped this then to  what the heck am i saying?!

 

i'll do it for a day, and get back to you. it has to be tomorrow, because i'll be super busy, so i won't notice myself being hungry.

 

question: at the end of something like this, are you guys also left feeling a bit empty?

We almost have the same stats!!! However idk how she manages this, being an idol and all. She may be dancing or practicing for hours on end. How is she not collapsing? Well maybe this doesn't represent what she actually eats, I mean girl generation is supposedly on a "5000 cal diet or some bs". Idk the kpop industry has always had this "don't ask don't tell" sort of response to body weight and diet

If I were to try this diet, I'd likely replace the apple with something like berries or an egg. More protein, less bloating from carbs.

wait wait wait... that's a great sub! the protein will keep you satiated for longer, until you can get the energy burst from the sweet potato... then there's the protein shake; bleurgh!

the protein shakes that i have already have sugar. yuck! maybe i should switch the protein shake for the egg, and keep everything else.

this sounds amazing, but...
does anyone have an idea about what kind of protein shake she drank? I had to ask because I literally have no knowledge on protein drinks and I want to follow this diet as exactly as I can...

I don't know the protein shake but I remember following her diet as 1 apple, 1-2 sweet potatoes, and then again 1 sweet potatoe (since they have protein and are low cal too). It gave me results better than hers actually, during the time I was around the same bmi as her.
