I shave my arms so my tattoos look better. My right arm is a half sleeve up to my elbow. And my left arm is a full sleeve still in progress. About 3 more sessions to go. But I started shaving my arms when I was 13 some girl I knew did it so I started and it's been that way ever since....

I did. Since it's winter I'm saving my hair for my potential homemade coat.

I shaved my arms for about three weeks in 7th grade after a friend of mine told me that she did it. My mom didn't know so when my hairless arm accidentally brushed hers one night...she went batshit crazy. Kept yelling at me about how I shouldn't do something like that ever again because I didn't even have that much hair (I beg to differ, since I'm a brunette). She made me promise never to do it again.

Thankfully the hair was fine when it grew back. I was expecting it to be thicker and really ugly, but it wasn't

I'm pale as snow with dark brown hair. Never had a choice in the matter lol, so yes - shave!

I'm half white, half Native American. My hair is very very dark and my skin is pretty light.

I do not care.

I will not shave my arms.

Anyone who thinks I should shave my arms can come fight me.

I have blonde body hair, but I shave them anyway. I love feeling smooth is all.

Sometimes. My arm hair isn't too dark or thick but when I am having a day where I want to pamper myself and make myself as beautiful as possible I will shave them.

I don't shave them but I show them a wax srip every now and then, after using it to my legs. I want a little less hair on my arms, not to be completely hairless.

I've seen the armpit dying fad and I wish I had the balls to try it/didn't get irritated by long pit hair! I have a similar mindset about body hair and body acceptance yet I hate my body anyways...I'm way more supportive of other people's bodies than myself. :/

I have pretty dark hair everywhere and used to shave everywhere when I was younger, but I sort of sat myself down and asked myself if I was shaving it for my own personal comfort and/or appreciation, or because of what others wanted.

I was basically shaving my arms, armpits and pubes because I was bothered by others opinions. Now I've decided I don't give two fucks what other people want; hair's natural, and a lack of hair is a childish characteristic, and if men find it attractive I find it weird - like, you want hairless women? Children? Paedophile bells ringing.

I'm happier not shaving, and only shave my legs every now and then because I like it. I dye my armpit hair different colours and have and will start fights with any sexist fucks who wanna tell me what to do with my body.

In short - I don't think anyone has to shave. Dark hair is beautiful. But if people are more comfortable that way, shave it off and don't take shit from people who look down on you for it.
