Hey guys,

I've been perusing the starting at a higher bmi pages and I realised 3 things:

1) We really need our own competition

2) Some of us tend to flake out of the competitions we join because we restrict way more than we can all at one go and then end up going on binge sprees

3) It sucks when you are in a competition with people at a much lower bmi than you not because they are at a lower bmi, but because you just aren't in the same place

Sooo, with that in mind, I decided to start a challenge here. If there's enough interest, I'll move it to the official challenges page. This challenge is based on the Lunabelle diet. See the pic below.

tumblr_inline_mjor3gFAoX1qfk55t.png

I know that the calories look like a lot more than other restricting diets but I think that it will be a good starting point for us seeing as I'm sure that I eat waay more than 900 cals on a some days and I doubt I'm alone. It will be like a stepping stone competition so that if we can do this then we can move on to the Skinny Girl diet or the ABC diet and not have to worry about bingeing so much.

To join, please reply with:

Name:

Current weight:

LAST SIGN UP DAY IS JULY 28TH STRICTLY AT MIDNIGHT MY TIME (GMT +3)

Duration - 40 days

Start date - July 29th

End date - September 6th

Exercise

Try and burn more than half of what the calorie intake for the day is. e.g if it's day 2, then 500 calories are allowed so do exercise that will burn more than 250 calories.

* If you mess up or have a bad day, you do not have to start again, just try to do a bit more exercise that day and if it's really bad, just continue on to the next day like nothing happened.

NOTE!!!

I will divide the interested people into teams.

Weigh ins will be on Friday and  total points will be posted on Sundays.

I will create 4 different threads/ pages for each team.

Please only post on your team page on Friday or Saturday. Your post should look like this:

Name:

Starting weight:

Current weight:

Weight lost/gained this week:*

Days over the calorie limit:

Days under the calorie limit:

* 1 pound of weight lost = 2 points

1 pound of weight gained = -2 points

** Following the schedule= 0 points

Going over the calorie limit= - 1 point for every day

Going under the calorie limit= +1 point for every day

Example:

AnaG

SW- 180 pounds

CW- 176 pounds

Weight lost this week- 4 pounds

Days over calorie limit: 1

Days under calorie limit: 2

I will post the total results of each team on their page, so please weigh in on time.

After 20 days I will post the results of each team on the main challenge page. On the last day, I will post the results of all the teams on the main challenge page again.

This challenge is about getting the most points and supporting your team. No teams or people will be disqualified.

Let's do this. :)

I'm on day 31 right now. I just want to add that, for me this has worked very well. I want to stress working out! I lost 6 lbs in my first week, then soon after, stopped working out. I hit a long plateau. After working out again, I started to lose weight again. I believe at least 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes will be good.
For my body, exercise seems to be more important than how well I restrict. Pay attention to your body and see what works best.
The plateau I hit was a major setback. But that was my fault. This is a very good diet, regardless of the higher calories! It's great as a starting diet. Especially if you find fasting easier!

Hey, thank you so much for providing feedback about this diet. I wasn't 100% sure about it, but you have just helped me to be more sure. Thank you, and I'm glad it worked for you. :)

I have extended the date for sign ups to see if we'll get more people. So official start date is Monday 29th and last sign up date is 28th. If we don't get more people then we can all just be one team and proceed from there. :)

Does weigh in have be to Friday?
I threw my scales out because they cause me to trigger whenever I gain.
I go on a machine and get my weight/bmi/body fat once a week. If I can't do it Friday it will be Saturday :) x
