I was kinda forced to go on WW a month ago and I can see how it'd work but at the same time, I want to know if anyone who has BED/binge issues has tried WW and had success? I cheated quite a bit this month but to be honest, I wasn't trying as hard as I could. I know nothing's a quick fix, but if any COE's or BED type people have found WW helpful in controlling their binging?

I can just hear them now, 'how could you let us down?'

but they don't know what I've found, or see it from this way round

feeling it overtake, all that I used to hate,

one by one every trait, I tried but it's way too late

all the signs I don't read, two sides of me can't agree,

will I be in too deep?

Goin with what I've always longed for...

Following this because I'm in the same boat.

I want to try it because two girls at work are doing it and they're having a lot of success. I don't wanna attend the meetings or anything, but idk.

I'm a little apprehensive about the "0 foods". Like, on the new program (freestyle or w/e) tofu is listed as a 0 point food...but 1 serving of tofu is like 200-300 calories. That seems so high for "0 point".

I do not have BED, but I have binge urges quite often. WW helped me with it, because the point system made me binge on vegetables and fruit, because I could eat how much I wanted. I wasn't able to binge on cookies or pizza etc. because it has too many points to overeat these foods. Sorry if this is written in a complicated way, but English is not my mother tongue.

Edit: I am doing the old ProPoints not the new WW your way with the zero point foods.

I have been doing ww for about 3 years and i have BED i have lost 52 lbs at one point last year i had lost 84 but had a binge cycle that got away from me and i stopped going to meetings. Weight watchers has been great as far as helping me control my binges. This biggest help is going to the meetings every week and havong someone else see my weight.

So I’d say I’m currently a binge eater. That hasn’t always been the case (hello AN purge sub type & ednos) however I wasn’t on any diets with those diagnosis.

I tried WW a few months ago, and I really struggled because I ate a lot of foods that were lower calorie or safe foods but higher points and honestly I didn’t like it. I’m trying it again now (ish) with “iTrackBites” app. Only because it’s free lol. I’m using the classic bites/points system and I was doing well for like 3 days. Then I just decided to follow my MP. I can’t really say I’ve had success with it, but I haven’t really tried either.

I always have and always will be (hate to say it that way) a binge eater.

But i am currently in WW, I do agree and say its helped me a lot.

When i was 17 and first started WW, my old coach told me "Its not what you eat

is how much of it you eat that counts") Shouldn't of told me that......She wasn't

really that good of a coach.

I've had quite a few go rounds with WW, but I will say, it's helped me with binge eating.

TBH my family thinks i'm only doing it for the weight loss, But I know the truth.

Yes, I am doing it for the weight loss, but i'm also using it to curb my binges.

If i'm correct I started in April (2017) at 260, I'm now 205 (GW, 170-165)

It's helped me drop 55lbs so far because I'm not going at 3 piles of plates of food

as I use too.

I like it, and I would say I've had some success, the whole point system situation

definitely opened my eyes to what I eat, and how much of things I do eat.

Ugh! I know! My favourite protein cookie? Yes. It’s 400 cals. Definitely still a cookie.
Points? 14.
So using all my daily points and 1/7 of my weekly I still couldn’t eat 2 a day.
A calorie count of 800 put me over my max points.
But I can eat unlimited FF refried beans?

Just started another go with WW- just doing online because I can’t afford the studio version.
I like the community- it’s like MPA in some ways.
I like the system OK. Certainly some 0 point foods that I don’t agree with and some of the point counts are a bit weird.

As has been said I’m hoping it will at least get my binges to be healthier...
It is a more gentle approach than many commercial diets and apps so I do like that.
I know extreme restriction and rigid rules are not the answer to my bingeing problem- balance and making small changes is much more effective in this case.

Definitely lied during registration. Well I don’t have a current ED diagnosis I 100% would if I was honest with anyone about my relapse...

I'm also trying WW, for the first time now! So far it's been working and it's not that hard to me to get my binges under control. Also just the app bc the meetings are too expensive.

Hope I can keep my binges to a minimum with the help of WW! We'll see how it goes...

HW: 95,1 kg (209.6 lbs) > BMI 34.9

LW: 51 kg (112.4 lbs) > BMI 18.7

CW: 85,9 kg (189.4 lbs) > BMI 31.6

GW 1/06: 80 kg (176.4 lbs) > BMI 29.4

GW 1/07: 73,5 kg (162.1 lbs) > BMI 27

Try to act like I don't care...
