HI EVERYONE

just wondering does  a low BMI or restricting cause real bad acne

I have a bmi of 14.2 and im 14 years old.

I most of the time have a 80 - 350 calorie intake

and I normally have slight to moderate acne but recently my BMI has gone down due to less calorie intake

Please please please let me know if you have any tips

any advice is is fine

THANKYOU

My acne gets worse when I restrict and lose weight because I mess up my hormones, the second I lose my period my skin freaks out. It's a hormonal thing.

I get more acne if I'm gaining or just barely relapsing. If I am constantly restricting, I get nothing.

I'm not underweight yet, but I feel like my skin is better off. However, that could be because when I do eat, I'm eating nutritionally dense foods.

I think your age has more to do with the acne than having an ED. It's normal for teenagers to have acne, due to hormones. Heheh, I'm 28 now, but definitely remember being your age and having breakouts.

Restricting will make your skin very dull-looking though, if you don't get the proper vitamins and minerals. I try to eat salmon once per week, and found that it helps a lot to keep my skin from being dull and dry anymore.

Hang in there, the acne doesn't last forever. Just another glorious part of the journey to adulthood! :D

I'm older, but I get awful acne if I'm low restricting, cystic bumps on my chin and neck and little pimples all over my chest, but my skin clears up as soon as I eat my TDEE and maintain my weight, so for me it's a nutrition linked thing.
