I read everything
I love poetry
I draw, I paint
I dance
I was a gymnast for a long time until an injury ended that and drove me into my eating disorder
But I’m also a nursing student and I love science...so both???

I've been going through a major depressive episode, and gained a lot of weight because I was holding everything in (eating my emotions).

Usually I dance, write, sign, draw, play instruments.

I'm slowly rediscovering myself, and I notice my eating habits return to their formally restrictive nature.

i do like art and i'm pretty good at drawing but my true passion is programming

i'm a very logical person and probably the desire to have everything in my life under complete control is what pushed me into this black hole

and also the sedentary lifestyle

oh and also i'm fat

tryna be happy but still sad and fat.

I’m clearly the odd one out here.. but I literally have no artistic skills whatsoever.. I’m a scientist (doing a physics PhD). I feel like there’s some relationship between EDs and perfectionism that either manifests as creative or logical? I’m definitely logical and not creative at all. I wish I was and I’d love to be able to dance but I look ridic lol (I am a pole dancer/aerialist but I focus on strength not ‘dance’)

Im studying to become an engineer... I’m diagnosed as anorexic R-subtype and that need of perfection, high expectations self pressure really goes in hand with that hard science and logic mindset. Having said that I did study to be a designer for 2 years before switching careers and I’m really artsy and creative so..... there might actually be a thing there

Now that I think of it tho, there’s a post about archetypes I can’t remember the name but it’s 4 letters and most of us are the type with a logical mind so I don’t really know

Lol taking "starving artist" to the next level.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Like, yes there's the stereotype of people with EDs being ones with really good grades and seemingly perfect. But I see a lot more creative types since the arts are a really good form of self expression. I write and consider myself somewhat of a musician and I'm going to college for theater. I find that it's all a good outlet because while I do work hard in my classes, that isn't really an outlet for how I feel.

do you mean like Meyer Briggs type? I know I'm intp and it seems like a lot of people I know with EDs are an int-whatever type.
