So I made it through the night with a couple beers, black beans, and some garlic fries. I'm glad I had the bowl of black beans otherwise I definitely would have had more than just a few fries at the end of the night. Not bad for an official first day of actually trying!!

I also looked into PAO and EDC and I think I'm going to move this over to one of them at the beginning on August for the next round. It would be nice to round up the people here to move next month, but it's a bit late now to just up and move, especially because I'm getting in touch with some old friends here on MPA.

I might set up a post on the other sites with the link to the sheet to see how the response is, but I'll let you guys know first how that goes.

Goodnight!!

Congrats on making it through the night so well Leighanu!

Yesterday was a huge fail for me.  I attempted to go for a run in the morning, but didn't make it very far as the heat was already suffocating even though it was early when I went.  I at least got in 3km, but I was supposed to run 8    Didn't help that I'm trying to run with a broken toe (that's a weird story from Friday night when I actually left my house  :P )

It was Canada Day here, but I just stayed home by myself and drank (easy to do considering I don't know anyone here and have no friends yet...if ever) which was still ok until I binged on an entire bag of chips.  Yep, ate the whole damn thing so my weight is up this morning.  But, that was pretty much all I ate yesterday, so at least it's not "real" weight and I should be able to get back down.

I think yesterday was just hard.  Sometimes I have to wonder what it would be like to have a reason to live.  What it would feel like to actually want to be alive.  All in all, disappointed with myself for yesterday,  but I'll do better today.

I signed up over at EDC as well, I had no idea what was going on here until recently but I'll keep checking both boards so that I can stay on the tracking sheet here.

Forgot to add my plan for this month.

I've been stuck at right around this same weight for about a month now, so I think I need to change things up a bit.  I've been low restricting for quite some time (no more than 500/day) and running 3-4 times a week.  So, I think I'm going to try to vary my calories more from day to day and I just recently increased my maintenance runs to 45 minutes each with my long run being on Saturday.  I've also decided to add in daily yoga so that I can get back into getting some kind of strength training in trying to preserve what very little lean muscle I have.  I'm not muscular by any means and I'm trying to avoid skinny-fat since I currently have a high body fat % which I want to improve.  My main challenge is to avoid the salty/sweet foods that I tend to crave for the entire month, sticking to my routine as far as my other meals go.  I'm also going to concentrate on really increasing my water intake since I've been slacking in that during the last few weeks.

I'd like to say that I'll avoid drinking, but being in a new city I've found that I really like to explore the different brew pubs in the area even though I go alone and it's rather awkward at times.

I saw a loss on the scale this morning and I can't express how happy it made me. It set the tone for the entire day. My restriction is on point, I don't feel the urge to binge. I feel like control is mine again.... at least for now. I had fruit flavored tea for breakfast and have meal prepped lasagna stuffed peppers and some watermelon for lunch and planning on a light salad for dinner. Goal is to eat at or below 500calories. chugging water like it's my new job. Good luck everyone and keep on keeping on.

Hiya, I'm Glim.

I'm a 17-year-old girl (5'3 and currently 134.6lbs) who has struggled with weight loss, bipolar/manic depression, and anxiety since I was around 12 due to a unfortunate trauma in my family. I love cats, art/music, video games and anime.

My highest weight has been 151lbs, and I couldn't really cope with it so I started losing weight. My ultimate goal is pretty much below 100lbs. If anyone would like to chat with me or anything, my kik is glimtryingtobethin and my instagram is glimtryingthin. Thanks! <3

Hey thanks!! It's weird trying to keep my intake really low again and the other half looks worried whenever I tell him I'm not hungry, but apart from that I think I'll be able to keep at it!!

I'm rooting for you this month! I'm always ALWAYS here to talk if you need someone and have nowhere else to turn. Good luck with your plan for this month. Changing things up always motivates me and puts me in a good mood!

I'll make posts on EDC and maybe PAO later today, and make a post here when I've done that and share a link if you wanna follow along there too.

Heya guys! Woke up with a gutache this morning which is an awkwardly cool win. I'm pretty sure those black beans at the "restaurant" bar were canned last night. Never again!! I have wind up the wazoo. Whazoo? Wahzew? So I got away with a latte and nibbling on a tosi bar throughout the day.

I'm out doing a flight test with my other halfs team for the day so I'll weigh myself and do a proper post later. How's everyone's day going?

Also I noticed in the sheet that some of your lines weren't working (I think it was Liv and Chessy?) and I think it's because you can only enter numbers into those boxes (for your start and goal weight), so if you get rid of the KGs and LBs after the number, it'll work again.

Ended the day strong! Didn't binge which is always a plus! My depression was manageable too which I think plays a huge role. I work all day tomorrow 7am to 7pm. Plan to work through lunch.

Hey everyone! So I've decided to start up on EDC since it seems pretty active there and we'll have more success transitioning over to there in August

Only problem I had is that they don't have a 'starting at a high BMI' section, or anything like it apart from a BMI specific section, which doesn't feel the same as the community we've built here welcomes anyone of any BMI as it's just about where someone started, not where they are now, and it's where they feel safe.

If you want to hop onto EDC and back my request so it'll be more likely to happen, that'll be great!

Wew! So we're approaching the end of the day and I actually tracked my calories. I wasn't sure if I was going to start so soon but here I am.

tenor.gif?itemid=5542510

Thankfully phones now automatically track everything people do so the data would be there even if I didn't want it to be. All in all I've had Tosi Super Bites, a coconut-milk latte, and a few plantain chips to keep the other half quiet. I've also had a diet coke and a couple cups of tea but those were only just bordering on calories and I'm not going to let myself obsess THAT much yethahaha. So that's 519 cals consumed, and I also burned about 169 cals from walking and jogging around today because I filmed my other half's maiden flight.

I'm just straight up not going to let myself make any excuses to eat tonight. It's late, and actually I really am just super thirsty. And I know it's really bad for your digestive system to drink cold water but dang I just feel so dry. To be honest, I didn't want to be restricting this much, especially this early on, but if I'm not gonna get off my ass and go to the gym it makes sense to do this if I have the willpower. If I don't, I'll just eat a damn salad.

Overall, I did maintain today but I'm not too fussed. It looks like I went down a tiny bit on the scale, but it's mechanical so I'm not down to fall over trying to read the dial. I am hoping for a loss tomorrow. Pretty please? I'll get off my ass if I lose tomorrow, promise... (MAybE).

Morning, everyone :)

I'm d-U-s-t and I've just added my details to the sheet! Looking forward to getting to know you all and losing some weight :D

I'm into reading, running, going to the cinema, and cooking (I know, right?). I usually restrict to around 500kcal daily, and run three times a week, do home exercises twice a week and walk to and from work :) I started using this site at an overweight/obese BMI and I've lost about 50lbs so far, so I hope people don't mind me hanging about in the higher BMI forums still >.<

You're more than welcome to join! I'm currently 'campaigning' to get a 'starting at a higher bmi' section on EDC, so if you're over there you can go support it! We're planning a move at the end of the month, so it would be awesome if you joined us  :D https://www.eatingdi...hread-1370.html

Good luck this month!!  ^_^

So I'm at the halfway point today.  Got a 45 minute run in (6.4km) and will do some yoga later tonight.  So far I'm on point with my water and eating has been in control.  Planning a salad (no dressing) for dinner.

But I have to admit that I'm struggling.  Some days I just wonder what it would actually feel like to have a reason to live.  I would kill myself as I would NEVER want to damage someone by having them find me, but it just occurred to me that I wonder what it's like for people who actually enjoy and like being alive?  Oh well....the thoughts I think of in the middle of the night...lol

BTW, Leigh, I LOVE the spelling of your name!  (We have that name in common...lol)

I'm not very active on EDC yet (having some trouble verifying my email) but I've made that my first post! XD I really hope you succeed. This forum is a real safe space for me and if people start moving over to EDC and there's not somewhere similar for me to be, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do >.<

Hey Liv! You've had 4 babies?! That's so beautiful, congratulations!! I love video games too, mostly RPG's. What are your favourites?

Welcome to the sheet!

This is still Liv, my account got deleted in a glitch! :( But it's me! Lol

I mostly play Nintendo games, Zelda is my favorite. I also like Pokemon, Mario, Smash Bros, etc

I'm not very active on EDC yet (having some trouble verifying my email) but I've made that my first post! XD

Oddly, I'm having the same problem with verifying my email as well.
