Usually I just watch makeup tutorials or something that kills the time without having to be totally invested as I tend to zone out sometimes. Its getting pretty boring now, Im interested to see what you do!

I drink a LOT of water, clean, scrapbook, doodle, watch YouTube, or browse stores with no money so I can’t buy food.

I don't know if it's technically distracting myself from eating, but for some reason I get a gross kick out of watching shows like "Supersize vs. Superskinny" where they have several scenes of obese people eating loads of food.  It's absolutely disgusting, but I enjoy it for some reason... I'm just gonna chalk it up to a disordered brain.

I usually drink some diet coke or (this is really weird) smell whatever I'm craving. So if i am craving nutella, I'd whip off the lid and smell it while reading the fat and calories in it on the back, and that usually stops the cravings.

That's not weird!  I do it, too.  I even posted a topic about that about a year ago, and a lot more people do it than you think.  Even non-ED people who are just dieting.

I wouldn't call this distracting myself, but I watch mukbang/food challenges. The sounds and quantity of food people eat in those make me lose my appetite.

groom, read a book, draw, play music, online grocery shopping (weird but it works for me lol), watching mindless youtube/netflix, wander around my city, work on a project, craft/woodwork, all while chugging diet coke

Put on something really skimpy (at home only) so I can see how fucking fat I am, fill up on herbal tea, get high and walk in the woods (sativa actually curbs my appetite), play with my dogs, work in the yard (burns SO many calories and I am obsessed with weeds ATM), do stuff around the house or chill in bed with my laptop and a really good show.

Video games.
Video games.
Video games.
Either intense grinding/repeatitive games like bloodborne, or games with immersive stories.

Besides that I watch youtube, netflix, hulu or Crunchyroll quite frequently.

I like to keep my hands busy so phone app games are great.

Complex, huge puzzles work too.

If I have the energy I muscle focus on do one exercise over and over (semi simple ones so I don't burn out fast).

Playing with/brushing my cats.

I cook a lot for my mom and boyfriend (weirdly satisfying for me).

Housework or chores that make me feel accomplished.

I've recently thought about starting a blog or writing a short story.

Overall I think it's equally importantto keep both your mind and your body preoccupied.
