Does anyone else purge just because they feel full? Despite how much you ate and whether you consider it a binge or not? Like, even if it's just a bowl of oatmeal I feel full and have the intense need to purge just to make my stomach feel empty again, but then somedays it takes me eating around 1000 calories before I feel full and get that urge.

Yes completely ! I have a huge problem with portion control and can't stand that full feeling after a meal no matter if it's too big or normal. I could snack all day on small things like a couple nuts or granola bar but as soon as I feel like my stomach has something substantial I feel the need to purge. Major cause of my relapse was just how much I hate being full and how easy it is to not be so to speak.

I hate this so much. No matter what I eat. It can be a salad or cookies. The moment my stomach gets the point of full, I have to get rid of it. I don't like the feeling of being full. Makes me feel like a fat sack of shit.

i literally just purged because i felt bloated from all the water i drank at the gym lmao

I know that too! To be honest I haven't done it often yet (quite new) but it makes me feel so releived that there are others with that problem too. I just ate about 190 kcals of eggs and potatoes and I feel so full and sick... I wanted to throw up so badly but nothing but some burping.... I just hate feeling full and now try to do something against it. 

 

Can anyone help?

Purging is such a terrible thing to do, if you're just starting out I hope that you don't continue to purge. It's a danger to your health, but I sound like a hypocrite saying that. That being said though, always try to find a distraction after you feel full so you don't resort to purging.

i had shirataki noodles with tomato sauce. so about 50 calories.
i still purged it because the weight in my stomach felt like too much
i'm sick of this : /

Ugh I hate the full feeling...love the process of getting there because I’m so hungry. Once I get that horrible full feeling though, there’s only one thing that’s going to make me feel better. I don’t advocate this method to anyone on here though. I know I’m damaging myself.

Yup... This was one of the first signs that I had a real problem. I used to love being full/feeling satisfied (I think most normal people do, because hey, they have a normal working brain and body), but now it gives me serious anxiety.

 

I think it's because I love the 'feeling' of being empty (nothing in my stomach or intestines) because that's when I'm skinniest and am flaunting the truest representation of my weight. After all, everyone will tell you that the best time to weigh yourself first thing in the morning after emptying your bladder/bowels and when you're on an empty stomach... I just love being in that state all the time.

 

And, obviously if I eat, I have that fear of how much of the food in me will become fat. It's just easier to purge it and not have to worry about it at all... I do find that if I just eat small meals and don't get reach that state of fullness, I don't tend to be stricken with that anxiety (which is a good thing, because it means I keep SOME food down and that my body receives some nutrients).

yes yes yes! i feel like so many people are always on about that (not actually true) statistic about purging only getting rid of a third of the calories and for me??? like dope? even assuming i'm only digesting 2/3rds of what i eat - that's significantly less than i would otherwise + i feel like you still get that lil gross 'wheeeee' seratonin kick?

Yes, I absolutely do this. I'll try to keep something down but if it makes me feel even remotely full I end up purging. Sometimes it triggers me to binge on more food.

Ya for me it’s the exact same thing like the second something hits my stomach after eating nothing I immediately start panicking, which most always leads to purging

Agree with this whole thread.

I hate feeling full, but also scared of feeling empty. It's quite complicated.

If I eat I'll always eat until I'm in a lot of pain and can barely move. But I have to Purge then. It scares me just eating to the point of not hungry but not full to the brim.

Basically whatever I do eating wise I hate. I'm screwed. Eat nothing, panic. Eat normal amount, panic. Eat everything in sight and have huge binge, panic. Really would like to just stick with eating nothing, at least then I'd be skinny.

sometimes if I drink too much water/coffee/tea/coke zero, and have 100 calories worth of food in me, I'll still purge just because I feel full. I can't stand feeling full it disgusts me to no end and I'd much rather feel hungry than deal with that.
