Some people just don't really lose with 1000 kcal, or just really reaaaaally slow. I'm a little short and don't very active, so when I'm eating 1000 kcal, the numbers on the scale don't move. With 800 I'm losing, but also more slowly. Recently I trying to stick between 500 and 800 (but more on the 500 side) and I'm losing way faster.

feels nice when I don't eat. I'm not bloated, I feel great. especially with liquids.

depression makes it easy for me to not eat/eat as little as possible. i have hypothyroidism so i have to eat a lot less to lose weight. i'll maintain at 1000 cals a day, or the weight loss is very slow and i usually want results asap. at first i find it harder to function, but after restricting for a while again i get used to the physical symptoms associated with starving and it gives me a high. as my stomach shrinks or whatever over a long period of restricting i also stop experiencing hunger cravings and food doesn't seem that appetizing anymore.

i have been restricting under 300 for almost a week now (before was under 500), and honestly my body has just gotten used to it. i don't get very hungry anymore, well if i do i can't distinguish it from how i normally feel. and i am powered by diet coke and pure hatred for my body. another big factor is that i'm terrified to increase at all so that's pretty cool.

my stats:

hw: 51kg/112.4lbs(BMI 20.9)


cw:don't know, 35kg/77.1lbs ? (BMI 14.5)


lw: 25kg/55.1lbs(BMI 10.4)

For me It's not about weight loss than it's about feeling in control. But like my lowest cal intake in a day was around 700? so you can say I don't restrict as hard as most ppl here. 


You didn't come this far only to come this far.

the feeling of being full makes me feel bad & fat, I'd much rather have the stomach rumbling, I've even gotten used to falling asleep to it now lol
I also feel bad eating a lot, for instance, tonight for dinner I had 4oz of chicken with 2/3 cup green beans...my biggest dinner in a while & I felt terrible about it.


I love falling asleep feeling hungry, i thought that was super weird but maybe it’s not?

It just takes patience and willpower. Personally for me ive perfected it from the time i was 17-30. I have to start all over basically because i got fat again from alcohol.Im not going to give anyone any tips. But i will tell you that if you drink some cofee it will help you, it acts as a appetite suppresant.
Hw-165lbs lw-80lbs cw-144.2 lbs gw-105lbs when I was 17 years old hw- was 210 but I was just giving info on hw for this time around.

It was much easier to eat so little and fast when I weighed more. Now that I’m so underweight I can’t fast for over 48 hours, but I still have this thing where I avoid eating until around 4-5 pm as often as possible. The fear of eating too much in a day motivates me to not eat. I also drink water and tea, and brush my teeth, use mouthwash, drink energy drinks, and suck on mints.

For me, I have only ever eaten less than 600 a day when I genuinely cannot eat because I’m not feeling hunger pangs. It goes hand in hand with depression. If I get depressed, I can’t eat. My mouth won’t even produce enough saliva to chew the food and it feels like I’m chewing on cardboard. When this happens I have to drink ensure and smoothies, but even that is hard so I chug them really quick to get it over with.

Correction: I DO have fasting days but only if I am not underweight according to BMI in an effort to get below 18.5.

i don't really get hungry and i'm allowed to cook for myself, so if i do get hungry i always look for a low cal recipe

i've just been doing it for so long. i used to get sick in the mornings when i ate, so i stopped eating breakfast. i wasn't hungry at lunch, so i stopped eating lunch, and i just fast until dinner, which i also don't need a lot of. i can eat a lot, but i don't need to. hunger doesn't bother me, and i honestly barely notice it most times. the more i eat, the more likely i am to just keep eating and not stop, so eating a little amount gives me enough to not be hungry anymore. i get a little weak and hazy if i've gone too long without eating something, but i usually manage it well enough that it doesn't happen frequently.
