it's hard to do but I try my best to remember how shitty i feel after eating more than i intended to. i usually manage to convince myself and in the end i'm rewarded with the feeling of: "see, you were right! you feel better knowing you didnt eat more". it helps to try to vividly picture yourself and how you will feel if you eat more than you planned.

i feel gross when i eat over 500 cals a day. if i’m full, i feel sick and greedy. it’s hard eating more than that cause i just hate myself when i eat like that. currently on a 2 day fast so far

Keeping the eating frequency and window very small and committing to longer fasts usually helps. I look at energy balance on weekly basis rather than daily basis. I will sate myself on about two large meals per week now and fast.

I feel physically ill when I’ve eaten more than my calorie limit. Probably an anxiety thing.

I legit don’t lose weight at all on 1000 calories, I’m impatient so the less I eat the faster I’ll lose (theoretically) my perfectionist brain needs it to be as efficient as possible I guess.

When I am beginning to feel weak from not eating much I feel that I am losing weight. Otherwise, if I eat a bit more, I feel that I am maintaining.

A lot of us can't manage to eat so little!

 

That's why there are things like medium to high restriction, IF and keto type diets.

 

I'm currently doing 5:2 with very slow weight loss. Though I am already just underweight.

its definitely a while for the body to adjust to restriction. if 1000 is working for you and you feel fine about it, than use it!! a slow decrease can help the body to adjust but idk. after a relapse i know i have to be patient with myself and then my body will get used to 300 cals a day soon. its been working so far!

Yes. The body is either in a fed or fasted state. When you eat in a caloric deficit over a longer period of time, you are in the fed state that does not allow you to utilize fat stores or keep hunger hormones suppressed as they are when you are fasting for longer periods of time.

my brain is literally always thinking about what the number on the scale will be the next morning. simply put less I eat = lower number, so that keeps me in line usually.

I eat one protein bar a day (200cal) and I honestly don’t get hungry anymore. I drink lots of water and different types of tea but I’m so surprised tht I really don’t need anything more.

I literally don’t need anything more than 200 calories a day and I honestly feel guilty if I have more..
