calorie free drinks are my life. Depression eating is the worst and it got me really bad in 'recovery'

I chug diet coke and it fills my stomach up whilst satisfying the sweet craving so I don't binge on other things.
Or frozen blueberries, since they're slow to eat and very low cal. Eat ice.

Also the zero cal ice tea is my fave thing ever.

and coffee and depression/ hunger naps.

Hi. I suffered from binging my entire life. And i was always “dieting”. This time, after doing keto, not losing. Feeling deprived and shitty. I just said enough is enough im gonna watch my calories. The reason it works for me is. I can eat whatever the f i want, as long as its in the calories i allow for the day. So i dont feel deprived. For example. I eat a mcdonalds hamburger and side salad for lunch. 4 piece nuggets and side salad for dinner. Yesterday i ate a slice of pizza which i cut into half so it feels like im eating two slices lol. And then i ate vegan dumplings and mixed vegetables for dinner. This is the only thing ive ever been able to “stick to”. And its not a diet. I dont have “cheat” days. If i want a burger i will have a burger i will just make better choices about what kind of burger i will have and make sure it fits into my calories for the day.

When the same shithead that told me I look disgusting and should lose 10 kilos is starting to admire and compliment me as the weight falls off. Guilt tripped him for several weeks for that he said, and now I'm getting skinnier so...I'm actually grateful.

don't buy any food that will tempt you
watch a lot of videos about dieting
picture your future self
do other things
don't stay at home
make an accountability
don't start too strict, fasting and low restriction are hard
at first, what works best for me is 600 - 800 kcl
Learn to know yourself, don't be afraid to sleep hungry

What should I do to not stay home

Break the association that food is for comfort. Food is for nourishment, not comfort. Find different ways to deal with stress, eating wont fix it

Do u know other ways to deal with stress that u could adviceee

Find someone thin to look up to. Popular ones are Ellen from To The Bone and Cassie from Skins. These girls are both quite thin. I'm motivated by characters like this. Whenever I feel like eating, it will be like "oh, but what would this girl do?".

I stay busy as much as possible and out of my house. With people. My ED wants me to isolate but I don’t anymore.

Also I always wear my smallest clothes. Or cropped tops. Prevents a lot of binges for me or eating out.

My clothes motivate me. I buy a few pieces I love one size smaller than I am. Right now there's a pink skirt hanging on my wall I am dying to get into.

Don't put emotion into food

Don't restrict any food, leads to binging, because it's an "all or nothing" mentality.

Eat "yummy" food in moderation

Calorie counts, it's all about portion control and eating everything in moderation.

1-2 slices of pizza is ok, whole pizza is not ideal

Keeping track of measurments really helps me. They fluctuate a lot less than your weight does so you're less likely to be discouraged if you see a negative change. The chances are it'll probably be such a small amount.

Seeing the number go down also makes you want to want to try even harder to stick to your diet so you can see it decrease even more.

I have no appetite when I'm depressed.

If you've ever been unnaturally thin before the public's reaction is well worth the pain.

Like people you see walking down the street turn and look at you.

People smile just to nice b/c you look like you're dying.

Things are just different.

For me it's a higher plane of existence.

I tend to set myself lots of small goals or I do something drastic to force myself to stick to a diet/routine. Usually if I know I'm meeting up with a close friend or some important event is coming up I lose weight a lot quicker because I become more strict with myself

The way I stay motivated is to think about why I am restricting in the first place and think about what I wish to achieve. I'm competitive and a perfectionist so I see it almost like a competition to see how far I can push myself. I also tend to look in the mirror at the areas I wish to lose weight whenever I think about eating and think are the calories, weight gain and guilt really worth it?

Take it slow (lower your calories bit by bit)

Find filling, large low calories recipes

Don't call it a diet, don't even call it a lifestyle call it Null.

Tell yourself food is for survival.

That's all I can think of stay safe darling~
