Please note I am basing this on the desktop MPA and 'full version' on mobile - I have yet to experiment with Tapatalk etc.

The main reason content is appearing multiple times is because users are clicking the post new topic/reply button more than once. This is usually as someone may think their content has not gone through - 99% of the time it has.

Therefore, before you hit post thread multiple times (leaving forums untidy/a lot of merging to be done), please go and check in the forum first before you hit the button again. If you are concerned about losing the content in your thread/post then simply copy it so it's in your clipboard. You could even open the forum in a new tab to see if your content is there!

I know this is frustrating, but there is nothing I can do about it - I don't think this is an easy fix for admin either.

Thanks, this is getting to be a problem.  Some threads are posted 8-10 times.

I assume it's newbies doing this b/c they aren't accustomed to this particular forum software.

I do doubles on occasion but very rarely.

I click to copy everything I submitted when the post doesn't readily go through, and then I hit refresh.  Hitting refresh usually works immediately.  It would be nice if we could delete our posts, but instead when it does multiple posts I go back and change the title to a dot and the content to a dot or type something like repeated post.  A lot of people don't like reporting their own threads as we don't like actions taken against us, kind of like refusing to testify in court on grounds that it may incriminate you.

Perhaps you could program in a timer that disallows people to create more than one thread topic within the timespan of say a minute.

There used to be an anti spam filter on, I'm wondering if it's got turned off during these 'upgrades'. If I had access to any tech, I would do something.
