Love them, but they do sometimes feel unsafe.

I only ever have smoothies to replace a meal with, but never just like that with a normal, full sized meal.

I work at a smoothie king. Word of advice, don’t come here, the calories are not accurate and even when I make them, it’s not accurate. We move to fast to properly level things and half the time I add extra because the recipes don’t make enough if I don’t. I

This is EXACTLY why I never buy ready made smoothies.

And also because I've seen a couple stores state they use 'yoghurt' as the base but they actually use REAL FULL FAT ICE CREAM! (Because it's a lot cheaper for them)

No, just no.

I always make my own.

It’s literally why I can’t go out to eat anymore. Nothing seems to be accurate unless it’s homemade or maybe stuff from a food bar that you can guesstimate veggies and stuff. Stress me tf out

I strongly dislike drinking my calories.

Also, with the high concentration of fruits in most smoothies (unless you customize it to be vegetables only, but I had one today and I always think to myself WHY... it always tastes nastier juiced than in its raw form!!!) I noticed that I bloat when it's the only thing I've eaten so far that day.

In theory, vegetable juices would be a great meal alternative/replacement but I just can't get on that purist green juice train.  Green juice only tastes good when theres apple blended into it- if not, forget it. Youre basically drinking a derivative of apple cidar vinegar lol

Blending doesn't but juicers do.

So if you are just blending the ingredients together it's different than getting the juice out of fruits and veggies.

Does that make sense?

I’ll only have smoothies that I make and only if it’s water base or yogurt base (Greek or light n fit). I like smoothies because I can load spinach in and yogurt for protein

Have you tried unsweetened coconut milk? The one I have is 45 calories for 250mls. It is amazing.

I haven't even though to make one that's yoghurt based but this is a great idea.

I don't make any smoothies but banana and strawberries smoothie. Eating my fruits and veggies makes me feel much fuller than just drinking them.
But, banana & strawberries, when I've let the strawberries freeze and use some heavy cream in it and just a bit of sweetener, tastes like dessert. Like slightly melted ice cream, but lower in cals. So I make that every once in a while to deal with my cravings.

This result sounds similar to my protein ice cream I make. Way lower cals and it's like soft serve ice creams.

I just hate the texture. Honestly all the açaí bowls etc are just baby food to me. That may not be a bad thing considering my corpulence but I’m more interested in chewing OR a fresh juice (preferably green).

I would never buy them when I'm eating out (you have no idea whats in it), but if I decide to make one at home and I make it a water based one it's okay with me.
