This week's run:

Tue:  1.5 mi - pace 9:41

Wed: 2.0 mi - pace 9:26

Fri:    3.0 mi - pace 10:32

Sat:   4.0 mi - pace 11:10

I read that running easy builds endurance, burns more fat, and prevents injury. Since Friday I made an effort to run slower. I want a an HR watch so that I can track my heart rate zones when running, but right now I just base it on my breathing.

yesterday went alright. 2.2 miles, 17:07. 9th place. i feel like my asthma must be flaring up or maybe i've hit the wall that people warn you about with restricting because my heart rate was in the 190s for pretty much all of it and i felt really dizzy. today i went on a 4 mile recovery run, 9:02 pace. tomorrow i'll probably do an easy 3 to get me to my 25 miles for the week even though i should be taking a rest day since another race is on wednesday

One is too many and 1000 is never enough.

Lighting new cigarettes,
Pouring more drinks.
It has been a beautiful fight.
Still is.

Total mileage this week: 25.3 miles, with 2,495 feet of Elevation. Highest weekly mileage since the end of November (pre-Covid).

Mon: 4 miles
Wed: 4.5 miles
Thu: 13.3 miles
Sun: 3.5 miles

Started taking an iron supplement (Feroglobin) due to feeling low in energy and I have an iron deficiency. Really going to look at my diet/nutrition and make some changes as I'm not feeling 100% in myself and need to get maximum nutrients from the food I eat.

Didn't run this weekend at all, except the short 2-5km morning runs with my dog. The weird HR stuff and the latest cancelation of my last 2021 race frustrated me so I sticked to Bulimia to waste my weekend.

But I went on a nice 20k run this morning. Weird HR stuff persists. Started taking iron supplements to see if that fixes it but also considering paying for a COVID test.

Hope you feel better soon. Best to get checked out i.e blood test/ECG if your heart race isn't right.

My heart rate goes very low and I get palpitations if my iron levels are too low. Had medication from the Doctor a few months ago and it helped, but have just started taking iron supplements again (non-prescription) as lacking energy since having Covid.

Hope your Covid test comes back negative and you get your results quickly so that you can rule it out.

Ran 8.5 miles at 7:55 pace today. I raced on Friday evening for the first time and was surprisingly close to my PR. Tomorrow I have cross training (bike) and Wednesday is a workout!

Also people (boyfriend, roommates, etc) are starting to question/be concerned about my intake and I don’t know what to say except “I know I’m getting enough!” So if anyone has any tips... I’m actually feeling like the amount I’m eating isn’t that unhealthy but I stopped counting calories because it was turning into a mental game to see how few I could eat and was starting to impact my running so I don’t actually know....ughhh

22k this morning. Freezing cold and thick fog. Since I couldn't see much anyway, it was like meditation. Loved it.

warmup 1.5 miles yesterday with a 8:13 pace, then a tempo 2 miles at 7:40 pace which felt really nice since i got into a great cadence and barely even actually felt the running, and then a 2 mile cooldown with a 9:30 pace. i have another race on friday and i'm not nearly as nervous about the last one so i think maybe i'll perform a little better

good 5 miles today at 8:57 pace :) pretty sure that last week i had a cold or something because i feel so much better this week which is really refreshing! of course that might change very quickly but it's nice to feel ok for now. race got moved to friday, it's 2.6 miles on a trail i've done two time trials at previously so i'm really hoping i can beat one of my friends who snuck in and beat me by like 20 seconds last friday. is my ed making me unnecessarily competitive? most certainly, but i won't stop lol
