I love them. They're so sweet I'm not tempted to binge and it feels like a perfect little treat from mother nature. 10/10!

Don't really eat them often, but I think they're pretty high in iron (basing this on the fact dried apricots are high in iron, so don't quote me on that). They're lovely and sweet. Pretty darn nutritious, so long as you don't splurge.

Fear food. I don't care that they're natural, they're too sugary.

I love dates so much. I use them to make a lot of different things actually, but I've never just eaten them by themselves.

Safe unless I eat too many which is rather hard because they are surprisingly filling. If they are natural/unprocessed (still with stone/core part inside) they better they become in my opinion. Don't get the expensive ones from the supermarket though, they are much cheaper in an arabic store!

I love medjool dates so much, but they are a fear food for me because I can never stop at one or two. I also have the tendency to put peanut butter in them and binge lol

I count em as sorta safe, even though they're high in sugar. With natural, unprocessed fruits, the sugars are still contained in the cellulose, meaning your body doesn't necessarily break down and absorb all calories; with fruits you end up pooping a lot of those calories out (yum thought for the day). On the other hand, refined sugars get absorbed almost instantly 100% which is why a teaspoon of sugar (4g) is much worse than eating a date (16g) even though the numbers don't look that way.

Think of it this way, how long does it take a teaspoon of sugar to dissolve in a glass of water? Now compare that to how long it takes a date to dissolve in a glass of water. (yea I know the digestive system is a lot stronger than a glass of water, but you get the point)

So if it keeps you from binging on stuff like candy, go with dates all the way :)

Love dates, but they are a fear food. I can never eat just a couple.

When I am going through spells of insomnia, I like to make an ojas drink before bed with almond milk, sometimes ghee, dates, turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom. So yummy and calming. But if I'm going to make this, I'll go to the grocery store bulk bin immediately beforehand and buy no more than 2 dates at a time.

Safe, anything with no oil or animal products and unprocessed feel safe to me! I haven't ever binged on them but they are pretty high in calories I mainly use them as a sweeteners for other things.

I used to put one or two in my smoothies as a good vegan sweetener but now it’s fear food and I won’t touch them. Too high in calories and sugary.
