Lots of times I'll go on a internet hunt for new music and I find all these awesome unrecognized bands that are 100000 times better than the stuff the play on the radio over and over again about the same stuff over and over (drugs, sex, love, women, partying, alcohol, etc.)

I am always looking for new artists so post your fav artists that deserve more fans ! (maybe others can benefit from this thread?) but if you post an artist also write what kind of genre they do.

For me I think these artists deserve more fans:

Starset - metal?

Young Guns - rock

Within Temptation - metal

Eysion - metal

Ohhh, I've listened to Within Temptation.

-EVANS BLUE (with the old singer, Kevin Matisyn that is) <3

-We Are The Emergency (they've split up but some of them started a new band that's also awesome called Titan)

I really do recommend them. Like REALLY.

I think Within Temptation are pretty well established now. I used to listen to them every day but now, only once in a while as I strayed from metal/heavier music and there's so much other stuff out there. I can name about 1000 artists that should be recognized for their talent. There are far too many horrible overrated bands out that are stealing the spotlight and it's just lame.

Graveyard of Empires was the album that go me into E|B but honestly after listening to their first+second albums and the demo tracks I can't listen to it anymore because I get so frustrated that they could replace Kevin with that new singer haha. I really recommend the song "My Damsel: A Confession to an Adversary" and "Cold (But I'm Still Here)" and like every other song on his albums!

Yay, the EP Seizure by WATE is amazing c:

I'm probably the only person on the planet who cares but I think it is a crime that Mini Viva broke up before releasing an album. Stricken City were a fucking fantastic band that should have gone farther and also Howling Bells; perfect debut album, supported Mercury Rev on tour, should have been huge but disappeared

Young Marble Giants - I guess they'd be classified as post-punk. I think they're an inspiration. Their bass is my absolute favorite.

FrnkIero and the Cellabration not only have a fantastic album but also have an amazing live show. Also, White Wives are absolutely fantastic, probably the best live band I've seen!

One of my all time favorite bands!!

And someone kind of similar that I still love is Life Without Buildings (they don't sound quite like YMG, but I always seem to listen to them back to back).

Ayreon -- One of my favorite bands ever

Sabaton (and more Sabaton) !!!!!!

KMFDM might be considered pretty mainstream, not sure

Turisas!!!

I think Kamelot is pretty mainstream?

Tyr, again, maybe mainstream?

Dream Evil, IDK the status of that

!!! SYMPHONY X!!!

Doro Pesch/Warlock is a lot bigger in europe than US, so not sure if that counts

Is Elvenking popular??? I keep asking these things because I'm the only person I know with my taste in music in my friend group.

Luca Turilli

Machinae Supremacy

Blake (and more blake) (Not the Euro Group)

I would LOVE to hear these bands on the radio T.T
