I'm 23. I work full time managing a store in a mall. Tried doing community college twice but never made it more than a couple of semesters lol. I like my job, it keeps me on my feet and I've been doing retail since I was 18 so I have a knack for it now

22, health care aide

I have been living a perpetual midlife crisis since graduating highschool, trying to figure out what to do with myself. I want to go back to college to be a LPN, but am worried about starting at 23+ and always feel like I am so far behind.

You guys really have your shit together. I’m 22 and I dropped out of college because I hated it. I worked as a waitress for a few months but it just made my anxiety worse. So now I’m just home doing piss all letting my anxiety consume my entire life. Maybe I should go back to school ...

22 and I'm a resident assistant at an assisted living facility, also a student. My plan is radiation therapy but I've only been in school for 4 semesters so we shall see if that plan sticks.

25, currently unemployed but studying overtime so I can get me degree in May... been studying fashion design, which is very bittersweet.... I love the creativity and constant change, but I feel so selfish and vapid for not going into science or some other social service profession...

Ideally I’d love to do costume work, but I’m thinking about being a flight attendant to start paying off my loans.

Anyone else terrified to graduate a start working full time? Being in the same building all day every day makes me feel suicidal, no exaggeration.

That is exactly where I was at 22.... going back has been good for me BUT!! Please please don’t feel rushed to go back. Get a job, emerse yourself in a hobby, start reading books you wouldn’t normally read... you got time. Plus student loan debt sucks. Your not “behind” I’ve met tons of peers who are in their 30s and they do just as well if not better because they have that much more life experiance (unless they have kids lol not saying it’s impossible just seems 200x harder to focus on school)

I’m a supervisor at a pharmacy
I don’t mind it, but it’s not what I want to do
I wanna be an artist but that’s such a financial risk
People tell me my art is good enough to make decent money, but I don’t really know about that. I need a steady income to stay sane.
So for now, art is just a hobby. But I am considering tattoo art or concept art as potential dream careers

i'm a nurse on telemetry floor (where the heart rate monitors are)

work 3 or 4 times a week, usually 12 hour shifts, sometimes 8 hour shifts

mostly nights with some day shifts

all jobs suck in their own way, but overall i'm pretty happy with my work. the money and benefits are better than most of my friends. i'm on my feet and usually so busy that i skip meals at work. any time i make baked goods i can bring them in and feed them to other people instead of eating them myself.

studied history in undergrad, worked as a waitress for a while, then went to nursing school when i was 25 and i'm almost 30 now

might go back for my NP degree but i hear it's a lot of studying and i would still be working at least part-time
