Sooo I’m really into French music at the moment. My favourite is Emilie Simon, Olivia Ruiz and Mika (although he mainly sings in English)
Does anyone else like French and have any recommendations?

i have a spotify playlist with mainly french music, it has kind of become a mix of french music and movie scores i like, with a few other "film inspired" songs sprinkled in there lol

Right now Hoshi, Pomme, L'Impératrice and Angèle are kinda big. If you like rap, try Orelsan, Big Flo&Oli or Nekfeu, they're pretty popular. I'm on mobile and can't link anything right now sorry !

lack of stromae appreciation makes me sad. sure, he’s incredibly well-known, but he got me (and probably many others) into french-language music. he’s not been very active lately after burning out, but it’s better that he rests up

belle bouteille by lausse the cat is a song im currently obsessed with, and it's partially in French, as are a few of his other songs

Mylene Farmer is like the Madonna of French pop. She's a literal Goddess and her videos are whacky as hell. I found a cassette of Ansi soit je.. at a flea market in Paris a few years ago

There's also Lynda Lemay (well she is Canadian to be fair), who has some deep meaning songs, and some that are really funny, I really recommend !
