Has anyone done or is anyone doing Optavia or Medifast? I'm doing it now. I've lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks so that's cool. Just wanted to know others' experience with it.

I like medifast shakes but where I live it’s soooo expensive so I stick to slim fast which gives me the same results. I’ve also tried their bars and porridge, they were ok but I stick to shakes

I ate my mom’s optavia bc she has so much and never even uses it and I dropped a bunch of weight. I love it I’m gonna go take some of it from my parents house soon and eat that for a while to lose some weight I’ve gained. The food is really good and it helps me eat better/healthier bc I’m really picky and all I eat is straight junk food so it’s actually probably good that I want to eat the food they have haha

OP and Angel, how did you get it? My morbidly obese uncle used it to get back to a healthy weight. I figure it must be relatively healthy since it is endorsed medically.

I eat a lot of the optavia products because they keep the calories so small and they’re pretty filling. My mom did Medifast a lot when I was a teenager.

I did it years ago and I'm about to start again.  It's expensive though.  Last time I did it I had a bunch of expired space food and I just threw it out.

It is disgusting.  My favorite meals were the shakes.

It works, if you can stomach it and afford it.

I think this time around I might cut the calories.  You're supposed to eat 5 Medifast meals and 1 lean and green meal.  I might do 4 and a small salad with balsamic vinegar.

Also, it's difficult to find out how many calories each meal contains so if anyone knows where I can find that info on the website, gracias!

I also did it years ago. It is expensive. From what I remember and a quick Google search, you have abou 800-1000 calories from just the meals. I thought they were about 100-200 cal for each "meal". Then when you add your own meal and snacks, it'd give you about 1,200.
Same amount as NutiSystem.

I found that it contained too much soy for me. But this was years ago.
I found I can't do a lot of soy. Once I tried a soy shake for breakfast and liked it, so I tried it for breakfast and lunch and I felt sick. I thought it'd be better then SlimFast.

I’m trying to piece my own plan together with frozen entrees. I’m hoping it will help. Good luck finding everything you’re looking for. It’s tough out there!

Ooh, did you record the unpacking? Is it tasty food? I can’t wait to hear more about what you’re doing!

I did not record the unpacking.  But so far I have tried the jalapeno cheddar poppers, the brownie, and today I had a chocolate peanut butter bar.  They weren't terrible!

I'm not sure when I'll decide to do the diet strictly - gotta get groceries for my lean and green meals - but feel free to follow along in my accountability thread - link is in my signature!

Congrats on your weight loss.  Just curious, are you sticking to the diet completely?  I'm adding one or two meals to my food intake and restricting and wondering if I should just go whole hog and do the whole 5 meals and a lean-green.

How many optavia did you eat a day?  Their diet plan is 5 meals and 1 lean green.  Right now I'm supplementing one or two meals and restricting calories but I'm thinking maybe I should just follow the program like it's supposed to...

How much weight did you lose?

very very very late response bc of the pandemic and shit and I forgot my password bc it had been so long lol but I can't say forsure how much weight I lost exactly but I definitely was at one of my lowest weights, which also included me restricting cals aka why eating optavia was helpful but I was restricting in how many meals or whatever of those I would eat, so it was a combo BUT it definitely made me feel fully physically and mentally healthy and clear unlike when I was restricting a lot more and had a horrible diet and shit. so overall, I think it's honestly a great and amazing way to get the (atleast "acceptable" healthy) ways to lose weight and yet feel mentally clear and well and physically. idk if optavia is a "pyramid scheme" or MLM or what but I don't even care because I've seen it's positive results lol. I have a lot of it in my pantry rn that I need to start back up bc I didn't keep up with it throughout the pandemic. hope this helps if it even makes sense lol sry im exhausted from a night of studying rn lol

Has anyone tried Wonderslim?  Optavia is so expensive.  The food tastes the same, but the Wonderslim are higher in calories.  What if you just ate 4 or 5 of those and nothing else?

I might give a meal replacement diet a go sometime later. I hear a lot of positive things about it.
