My sister got me into ice chewing. She's worse than me and buys at least 2 ten pound bags of ice per week. I don't eat it as often as I used to cause I get cold so easily now, but I love eating ice in the shower where I can stay warm.

If you are craving to chew ice but have never had this issue previously, you may be seriously anemic. I ended up in the hospital three times due to severely low HGB and each time, I had been craving ice prior. I also craved the smell of gasoline, not just enjoyed it, but craved it.

Anywho, the point I'm trying to make is that your HGB level could be dangerously low if you are craving ice, not just enjoying it.

I've always loved chewing ice. It's honestly my favorite thing to eat.

I think it's fairly common. I know a bunch of people without ED's that do.

i absolutely love chewing ice. especially those white colored cubes that are not too dense and full of air n when you bite down on them you can feel the ice being compacted together

If I could just buy an ice machine that makes that crushed nugget ice, I'd probably never eat food again

I love it. Fortunately my teeth are not bad. I only have a couple of fillings from previous cavities other than that I shall continue to chew ice haha.

I love eating ice--I used to chew on it more, but recently I got a weird pain in one of my molars when I bit down and the tooth felt a bit wobbly and after googling the general consensus was that there was a crack in my tooth (which can be caused by ice chewing) so I stayed away from ice for a while. As it turns out the pain was actually not a cracked tooth because it went away about a week later :/// but I`ve switched to sucking on ice until it gets very thin and then chewing it, I think this is probably better for my teeth and anyway it keeps my mouth full for longer :)

I do this 24/7! My mum hates me for it, she says it's really annoying and loud. I guess she shouldn't have brought a fridge that makes ice then...

I used to ice chew but my parents threw out our ice trays because we didn't have enough space in the freezer

Not so much anymore.

I always used to chew on ice all the time when I was about 16-18 though.
