I have lots of small purple violet plants that grow in my lawn.   Basically they are weeds.  But for a few of the first warm days in spring, their tiny flowers make the most wonderful smell.  

 

 Only for a few days, and then they are gone, but since they are the first thing to bloom after a long winter, their sweet oder always holds a place in my heart.
