I'm low restricting atm and I have fibre supplements that you're supposed to take before each meal to make you feel fuller. I'm water fasting today and I'm going to take them with a diet fizzy drink (I know, I'm a health queen).

Has anyone used fibre supplements as a meal replacement and if so, does it work? Even a little?

They do fill your stomach up a bit but it doesn't last for that long. Maybe like an hour.

I was hungry one night and all I had was some chromium tablets and I went to sleep with their aid. Rennies are good after meals if you're still peckish and zinc tablets make food taste bad.

I'll try that as well, thanks!

I used to do this I feel like it helped. I think ill try it again. I would use the ones that dissolve into a drink so the water helps fill you too. I think the more water you drink the better they work?

I usually only eat dinner, and if I'm hungry during the day, or my stomach hurts, I'll shake up about a tbsp or two of pure psyllium husk in a decent amount of water and then drink it. It's basically just insoluble fibre, and it'll fill my stomach up. You really do need to drink a bunch of water though or else it can cause bowl obstructions as it's a bulking agent. sometimes I'll add a tbsp of chia seeds to this too for the protein (like 49 cals).

Something else I do if I feel hungry-sick because my blood sugar is too low, I'll drink a teaspoon or two of unrefined apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. It balances your blood sugars, helps me not to feel sick and curbs my appetite.
