Anyone else going through this?

I rarely eat dinner with my kids (boys 14,10, girl 12) but being vegetarian has helped me answer that “why don’t you eat with me” question for years. My husband and parents think I’m recovered bc my weight is restored but I eat once a day most days.

So being stuck in our house together, more meals are had together. And it’s becoming clearer (especially to my daughter) that they don’t see me eat. My mom thinks she doesn’t buy it. My mom thinks my d knows I don’t eat right.

This is so hard! She offered to make my lunch today and I simply said no thank you and she hugged me. If she develops disordered eating, I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself.

Do u think u could try eating more often but just low calorie foods? There was a time when my son would constantly see me on the scale and he started weighing himself daily. He was 3 at the time. After I saw that I immediately stopped and only weigh myself before he wakes up.

Thanks for the response. I can, it will take some planning. I usually eat breakfast, but I have been getting away without breakfast so that I can have something with them at dinner.

This is such a stressful time that I didn’t even consider this being an issue!

I’ve been through the scale thing too. I actually stopped weighing myself and hid my scare when my oldest was about 3. I didn’t want them to ever know this was something to worry about.
