15/16. Before that I had some form of BED and just didn't care just eating for comfort and escape.

10/11. I don't ever remember a time I liked myself, I always envied people who were beautiful, tall and thin. My mom has an eating disorder so between watching her restrict/starve/not eat and the sport I was involved in at the time which had a huge emphasis on being light (horse back riding). I was also my mom's assistant with helping her buy, rehab/train and sell ponies, I would ride them, and the smaller I was, the smaller the ponies could be. My mom constantly commented on my weight. As I aged it got worse and it spiraled more out if control and I adopted the whole spectrum of ED behaviors. Taadaaaa~

I started dieting around 15yrs, it's weird though, I remember being happy when I was around 11yr and the doctor told my mother that I had lost too much weight due to not eating after getting my tonsils taken out and I just always was romanticizing skinny bodies. Thing is- I can't tell if those are my actual memories or my fucked up perception now messing with them.

I used to be super insecure and wanted to lose weight at like 8 years old, but I didn't actually start making the attempt and restrict until I was around 14

I was 9 when I first called myself fat, and my first known efforts to lose weight date back to when I was 11. I came across proana shit very soon after and have been like this since. I'm 25 now.

8 or 9...I find diary entries and drawings and it's so sad because I was just a kid, I didn't need to be exposed to that. Luckily I was awful at counting calories so I never lost anything til recently

level of fucked: ate five stevia packets I stole from work and called it dinner

I was super conscious about not writing about dieting and self harm things in my diary, but I think maybe around 12 or 13 is when I finally gave in and started writing about it. And my mom read my journal yay :/

I was put on steroids for an autoimmune illness when I was 6 and gained a lot of weight, I've been dieting since then, diagnosed with anorexia in 2014, probably have EDNOS at this point

I don't think I fully understood how losing weight worked when I was super young, but I remember first purging when I was 12

By 14 I started becoming obsessed with 'healthy eating' and health foods and all that shit. Thought calories were a lie and only ate chia seeds and brown bread and all that fitness blogger wholefood shit. I would start to dip into calorie counting when I was 15 and occasionally have phases of restricting. Lost a bunch when I was 16 but then was okay for a while and then started again just before I turned 17 when it eventually became a full on eating disorder and I'd lost like 20kg

I remember not liking my body at 10, but it wasn’t till I was freshly 13 that I decided to do something about it. Of course immediately I found the ABC diet and bam que disordered eating ever sense

I think when I was 12 I asked my mom to take me to a nutricionist to try to be healthier and lose a couple pounds.
