How do you guys do your hair?  :(

I've worn wigs and hair extensions my whole life & it's so much easier but I haven't for the past few months because working out ( & trying to straighten my NATURAL hair is just a mess cause it frizzes back up the moment I step out unless I get keratin treatments) I had faux locs in my hair in the meantime but I'm back to natural hair now & I'm out of ideas for what to do..

I have a cousin with the same hair issue as me & when I stayed with her I remember she would just straighten her hair everyday/almost daily & she's been doing that for as long as I can remember lmao (she has beautiful, thick hair though it's still healthy actually) I USED to also do that but idk it just felt like so much work & time EVERY DAY & plus it'd still frizz up after

idk

what do you guys do

i don't know if it works for your kind of curls too, but i put my hair in a bun if i'm going to bed so the curls are 'less curly' the morning after.

Do you want to keep your hair natural?

honestly no, I've never been comfortable with it natural but if I can find a style that's easy & still looks good & it's not just out i'll wear it

i've been letting it grow in hopes that I'll like it more when it gets long though

i like wearing wigs the most but then i cant work out (or it's not worth the time installing a wig for me to just sweat it out)

yess i've been doing the bun (like a loose bun right?)

i have 3b/3c curls but even tying it up or messing with it too much is enough for it to just frizz up but it does work sometimes

ty though

i understand the struggle, for me it doesn't work all the time too. i'm also still figuring out what's best for me. curls can be so annoying

hey that's my hair type lol

i'm a lazy depressed fuck so my easy style is

-shampoo/conditioner

-run something that'll keep it stretched(leave-in/oil) through it and make like 6 big plaits

-wait for it to dry a bit and then rebraid it(it'll have stretched even more, you can even bobby pin it tbh)

by the time your hair is dry you can just unbraid it and fluff it a bit and it'll last all day/get bigger over the week. the most important thing is keeping it braided when you're laying down so it doesn't get matted

another style(much more lazy, tangles tf outta your hair): after you wash it put gel in your hair(not too much, just enough to define the curls) then blowdry it. boom insta curls lmao

ya like a braid out !!

i tried the gel trick the other day & i ended up crying cause my hair just shrunk a ton (I've done it before without all of the shrinkage though, prob cause i didn't blow dry enough)

i love how you said plaits btw lmao i braid hair for side money & that's exactly how we call them when pricing them

but tysm

I think it can look cute in a bun with a few strands out! I never really liked my curly hair so I always straightened it or had it in a ponytail or bun - also kind of damaged it by dyeing it so much. But I mostly have my hair open by now or have it in a ponytail cuz I think it looks cute when your hair is curled and in a ponytail So basically, I do nothing too crazy!

Maybe try relaxing it? I don't have curly hair (wavy) but my hair dresser recommended smoothening (relaxing) and said it would last. I did speak to my friends with curly hair about it and they did say it can mess up the texture though.

I just wash mine once a week and blow dry, use a good oil and small amount of leave in conditioner and braid it at night , then repeat the next week. Makes my hair super soft and fluffy big loose curls cause I like a big curly fro.
That’s with long 4a/b hair and it takes very little time to do if you don’t want to relax or straighten it

DO NOT RELAX!! i did for only 2ish years and ended up with 4 different curl patterns that no matter how many times i relax they bounce back in less than a month. If relaxing is the road you want to go down i’d recommend hair rebonding (some places call it Japanese hair straightening) it’s more effective and less damaging long term

I shower at night and then sleep in a bun.

I also use a natural shampoo/ conditioner from Garnier that's 98% natural (just paraben free didn't help) and that worked so well

also I usually wear itin a ponytail cuz otherwise it poofs and frizzes

I blow dry it after the shower and its easier to straighten and keep straight after and less frizzy. If I use protein and moisture masks its easier too. My hair is a combo of 3a/b.

Be Happy :)

I sleep in foam or pillow rollers and brush it out so it's like vintage style 1940s..  I just do it  twice per week and the style stays wearable without dry shampoo for 3 days (or 4-5 days with dry shampoo).

I tried curly girl method for so long, but I just can't freaking stand how inconsistent natural curls are.  It's so damn unpredictable and gives me anxiety to brush my hair after showering so the curls will dry 'properly'.  UGHHH I cannot deal with that anymore

Stop using shampoo. Use a cleansing conditioner 😉 I wish I would have started using it years ago.

-blow dry
-argan/coconut oil
-brush through
-straighten

(However it dries your hair out)
-We all want someone to notice, until they do...
Then we wish more than anything that they didn't"

-I stopped talking about how I felt...
Because I knew no one cares anyway I

- My mind was a mess
Then I found a razor...
Now my body is a mess too...

The situation may seem horrible, but really, I'm fine...
