if you want something harmless that doesn't cramp you up, miralax or some other osmotic laxative. It's at any pharmacy.

For anyone else reading this thread, I don't recommend it but hypothetically If a person didn't mind cramping, and wanted to evacuate things that haven't seen the light of day since the 90s, An extra strong cup of chinese diet tea would do that. Most asian grocery stores have it, it's in a green box and the main ingredient should be senna leaf. I accidentally overdid it the first time I tried chinese diet tea but damn did I feel lighter on my feet the next morning.

Eating a couple of plums (not too many, maybe 3) plus their juice can help really well.

If you want something chemical, Dulcolax pills are really good. They never give me cramps. I only have to go to the toilet right in between those 6-12 hrs and then its fine.

Depending on how bad it is, you can also take two.

Hope it gets better!

It did for a little while. The dulcolax chews made go the next day but then it seemed like all day I was in the bathroom. Can't win!

I’ve been having problems for about 3 weeks. I take miralax daily but it wasn’t working. I bought some dulcolax the other day and it hasn’t worked. I’m desperate enough to go to my old standby- saltwater flush. Works every time but it’s not pretty.

not technically a lax, but natural calm drink mix (it comes in a big tub and is raspberry-lemon flavor and a lil fizzy) is literally just magnesium which is used in most lax. put a few tablespoons in however much water you want and you can either drink it fast or sip on it all day. it's a lot more lowkey than actual pharmacy lax so it usually wont have as many side effects

Funny story - I was watching a livestream by demi lovato recently and she was talking about natural calm. Since I know that can be a laxative my Spidey senses were tingling.

Anyway, I like exlax for when I binge and metamucil in my water every other day. I think exlax is stronger than dulcolax.

A more natural alternative that works for me is eating 2 to 3 apples (with the peel) on an empty stomach. Usually I have to go within 1 hour or less, and again I would recommend staying near a toilet for at least a couple of hours.

I will try this sometime soon! Apples are in season here.
