As above

Like at the gym or at home on a cardio machine, what do you do? Listen to podcasts, music, watch YouTube/Netflix/etc? How do you pass the time?

The only machine I use is a treadmill and it depends on how far I plan on running or walking. I always listen to podcasts if I'm walking. If I'm doing just a short run (1-3 miles), I'll listen to music because usually a run that short means I don't have a lot of time and have to run fast and finish quickly lol If it's a longer run, I listen to podcasts. Totally anecdotal but I've found that my heart rate stays a little lower when I'm listening to podcasts vs music. The lower I keep my HR, the longer I'm able to run comfortably.

All different things depending what I’m in the mood for. I watch shows on the Netflix or Hulu app or YouTube videos. Sometimes podcasts and something just music that gets me hype to exercise

I have a stationary bike at home that I ride every morning. There's a little display ledge on it that fits my iPad perfectly, so I just watch YouTube videos - cooking shows, supersize vs. superskinny, food eating contests, ED movies and documentaries. Helps me push through a workout when I see super thin or obese people. Music/podcasts aren't enough stimulation for me, I get bored of them without anything to look at.

I have an elliptical... I usually listen to music, podcasts, or watch videos. I might get into audible because it’s a lot of time to just be doing nothing.

I actually daydream quite a lot don’t know if it’s excessive enough to be maladaptive daydreaming but I usually listen to different music depending on what plot/story I’m into at the moment and it distracts me from the pain. If im really bored sometimes I’ll watch YouTube, lots of drama right now that’s keeping me entertained lol

I don't listen to music because it just ruins the songs for me.

I either watch TV series or movies that are thinspo (Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, Elite) or listen to podcasts, often sports related ones that motivate me to work out.

Music. Kind of how I continue to discover new bands/songs etc since I need to frequently update my running playlist. Otherwise I get bored af.

I gather things with my botanist while playing the mmorpg ffxiv while riding my stationary bike.  I also love watching almost any documentary about endurance sports such as cycling, ultra running and hiking the appalachian trail.

If I'm on an elliptical or treadmill i usually manage to mount my phone on the dashboard and I watch TV shows. If I'm walking/running outside I listen to podcasts

They make these plastic things that sit on the display of machines to hold books and tablets. Super basic blocky-S-Shaped things and most gyms I've seen have them if you ask for them

When I liked reading books I used to plop down and finish large books over a few hours long compulsive sessions
