I saw a thread a while ago where it was things that make you feel skinny unrelated to your weight. What are things that make you feel fat that are unrelated to your weight?

 

For me the biggest one is when I'm riding a bike over surffaces that aren't smooth and I can feel the fat and skin in my face jiggle.

Ooh good idea for a thread!! I have loads...

-When the bed squeaks (it’s old and needs replacing and despite losing 40+lbs already it still freaking squeaks:()
-when someone picks me up or gets me to sit on their lap
- when I sit down and all my rolls start touching...
- when my partner touches anywhere near my stomach
-when I eat and bloat and get a lump of fat sticking out over the waistband of my leggings.
-when clothes are too tight around my arms and back(makes me feel like the hulk)
- having sex
- belly button and under boob sweat 🙈

That’s just what I can think of offhand. There’s probably tonnes more and there’s loads from before I lost the 40+lbs that thankfully don’t impact me now too.

-Being warm/ hotflashes/sweating when not exercising
-Eating anything that feels greasy even if theres no trace of oils/butters
-Being dirty or room being dirty/unorganized
-creaking stairs or floors when you walk

But for real, I've got to say whenever anyone makes any comment about my appearance, no matter what it is. My AN always screams that if I was skinny enough then that's all they would see and they wouldn't bother noticing anything else, so even something as simple as someone saying my hair looks nice can make me feel fat.


Currently trying to beat my lowest BMI and get down into the single digits so I can maybe finally feel worthy of recovering.

Feeling like a failure in every other aspect of life so I'm just waiting until I can destroy myself without interruption.

Looking at thinspo

Having sex and seeing myself naked 

Eating pretty much anything 

Feeling full after a meal 

Getting warm/hot

My fiancé picking me up or sitting on his lap 

Getting hugged (I imagine they only feel a fat, squishy body to hug)

Eating in public/in front of people 

Getting dressed not in pajamas 

Seeing someone eat less than me 

Being around my best friend (She’s 5’3 and about 90lbs)

Being seen at all in public 

Seeing that the airbag is on in the car now (passenger seat) 

Feeling hungry despite already eating something 

Wearing my engagement ring 

 

Could be all summarized by “existing “  :rolleyes:

Oh GOD this is going to force me to face all my insecurities and fears

 

- Being touched on my upper arms, torso, legs, hips, etc by anyone at all, sexual or not

- Being around anyone who has a similar body type, smaller body, or even a slightly larger body because i'm just paranoid about being compared and also constantly comparing myself to them

- Any body positions that make my body parts look flabbier / feeling fat jiggle on me in any way shape or form

- Being picked up/my boyfriend trying to get me to lay on top of him, etc.

- Seeing someone eat less than me or stop eating before me or not eat at all around me

- Remembering old small clothes that I keep with the intention of fitting into them again

- Online shopping for clothes and trying to guess my size

- Eating bread/pasta/rice, fast food, fatty foods, sugary foods, fried foods, take out (or basically anything at all outside of my safe foods lol)

- When someone tells me I'm "skinny" or comments on my body/etc.

- Having sex within like.... a few hours of eating

- Getting dressed in form fitting clothes on my legs

- Seeing that my waist is not as small as it used to be and not seeing any bones or indication of bones on my chest, ribcage, etc. whether it's from bloating or body fat

- when someone takes a photo of me

- when my face is bloated from salt consumption, alcohol, or purging

- seeing myself when i'm exercising

 

Basically covers just being alive at all, huh? lol

When I've eaten something with butter and then I can SMELL it around my mouth for hours after the fact

- My upper body is like 18 bmi but the lower body looks like 21 bmi
- Wearing "white" skinny jeans
- Double chin

squeezing into jeans or wearing them in general

when my boyfriend cant lift me up

(terrible) but when my friend can fit into my clothes

when i lie down with my head propped up and can feel/squeeze/pinch my neck fat

getting changed in clothing stores changing rooms- the lighting is AWFULLLL

wearing a sports bra and my back fat being squeezed

when my mum says I look healthy and isnt concerned over me losing any more weight

Sitting down and seeing my thighs triple in size

I have a black skirt that has a barbie doll shape (parachute) and the waist is unbelievable tiny, I used to fit that so easily...now i have to stuff myself in it

Walking, running, exercising and feeling so much giggle

Bloat

Feeling full from a meal

Being around someone my build whose noticeably skinnier

When my husband is touching me

When people aren’t concerned about me not eating - or even worse, when someone is commenting on how much I eat.
