18-19, assuming I'm fit as below 18 I run into iron deficiency and get daily nose bleeds, and it also looks like I lose my butt. I am an adult male.

I was once told that you are what you eat and then I just cried and cried and cried cause no matter how much I wanted to be one I just couldn't bring myself to eating a skinny person.

it depends on your body composition

i think bmi 17 or 18 is perfect if you aren't skinny fat and have toner muscle with very low body fat

however some ppl dont look that skinny at bmi 17 or 18 because they have high body fat. so to achieve the same look they'd need to be atbmi 14-15.

im skinny fat but aiming for bmi 17 still and will try reduce my body fat while maintaining muscle

I usually have to deduct two BMI points off of my guess of what BMI's females are at. Weight wise, a male at BMI of 18 typically looks equivalent to a female around BMI 16. Heisenberg being an exception as she appears about the same, but she is 5'10" whereas I'm 5'11" so it might be more of a height thing. Children/teenagers also tend to run lower in how BMI's look than adults.

I think it really depends. I've known people at a BMI of 16-18 that looked like healthy skinny, and others at 16-18 that looked emaciated. I think I mention her a few times but I knew a girl at a BMI of 17 that was basically emaciated, she had almost no fat left on her. She wasn't overly muscular either, she actually looked like she lacked muscle mass.

People describe my regular body shape (a BMI of 20-22) as athletic curvy.

Meaning that when I'm at 16-18, I get really protruding bones and everything, like you could tell I'm not naturally that way or healthy skinny.

My skinny-fat body needs to be around 15-16 bmi to look good.. Though I've been taking up yoga as a form of exercise and have good body image days floating around high 18 BMI

Im bmi 17 atm but im skinny fat... so for me 15-16, but for someone w muscle tone probably like 17-18. But like i think everyone is beautiful tbh, curvy girls, chubby girls, skinny girls, average girls, people carry it differently yno?

Body composition not all that important to me. What's important is your height.
At BMI 18 I still look fat as fuck because I'm 4'7.
So uhhh ideal really depends on your height in my opinion.

For someone with a small frame like me (and started out at a low BMI - I started at BMI 17), I think lower 15s is perfect. Of course, my UGW puts me at mid 14s...I just want some room for fluctuation, 'kay?

CW:89lbs/40.4kg

SW: 93?lbs/42kg

GW: 87lbs/39.4kg

GW2:83lbs/37.6

UGW: 80lbs/36kg

Height: 5'2.2/158cm

Attempting recovery....but it doesn't mean that I don't want my GWs. It's just that there's something more important than my goal weights.

I remember feeling so delicate and beautiful at BMI 16 (LW).....

On track to reach that feeling again by the end of August  :) This time I want to get down to 15 just to see if I like that more, although I think it's more realistic to try to maintain in the 16 range,,,
