Hey guys,

 

Just wondering if there are any guys out there looking to lose 50+ lbs. I need to lose 89 lbs. Currently at 207, not my highest weight ever, but one I’m deeply ashamed of. I’m not going to make any more excuses. I’m going to fast as strictly as possible over July and August. I want my average daily intake over the rest of July and August to be as low as possible, ideally below 600 calories a day.

 

Who’s with me? I’m looking for other guys with significant weight to lose, or just anyone who wants to be accountable to someone so they can destroy their excuses, one day and one pound at a time. 
 

I’m going to post pictures here and update my weight and body fat -% periodically. I don’t want to post a picture of myself yet right now though because I look too fat.

I was where you are last November but I’m happy to cheer you on! I still haven’t hit my ultimate goal weight because my priorities changed...focusing more on building up muscle and dropping down body fat % and with a final goal of only having 10 lbs of fat on my body...

I’m trying to get back in line with restricting to drop some fat and hopefully retain more muscle and cycle until I’m able to hit the elusive goal.

What type of foods will be the backbone of your low restriction?

I plan on eating only fish, tofu and beans for protein, and fruits and veggies for everything else.

 

I’m poor ar the moment too, and i have a large store of brown rice and beans, so besides doing long fasts (hopefully at least 16 hours a day, and sometimes 24-48+ hours not eating), I’ll have a small pot of rice and beans soup at the ready (eating only enough to give me enough complete protein for maintenance).

 

I estimate i need around 60 g of protein, which is 250 calories approximately, so especially in the beginning, i want to stay at 600 calories as the maximum, with about half being protein.

 

And thanks, I appreciate all the cheering i can get! That being said, I don’t think I’ll want to check in until i lose at least 20 lbs or so. I hate that I’m over 200, let alone being over 160 (my most recent lowest).

I eat every 24 hours mainly (dinner), with a no carb, no fat protein shake in the AM at the 12 hour mark... so it’s totally doable. I was religious with OMAD for 7-9 months where I lost the 95 lbs.... was a slog! But barely fitting in XL clothes was far far worse :(

You may consider adopting a few of these parameters regarding protein intake if you can afford it, at least in the first few weeks until the appetite suppression is in effect :) this is what I’m doing these days... OMAD PSMF...

Wow, thank you for finding this!! I’ll admit I’m always nervous about eliminating carbs entirely (plus I love fruit), but i think that if i took a multivitamin and made sure to supplement with potassium and magnesium (something i do when going very low calorie, especially in the warmer part of the year). But it’s very reassuring to see that this extreme diet is actually recommended for those with a lot of fat to lose. I have about 40 lbs of fat I’d like to permanently dump...

What a worthless POS i am. I hate myself so much. Can’t even f’ing do restriction and weight loss anymore. I’m just going to stop eating at this point, hoping that it either redeems my worthless ass and gives me the body and life I’ve been hoping for (and up to now have been too cowardly to pursue full on), or that it kills me. Both are desirable outcomes. That’s what it’s all about - reframing zero-sum games into win-win scenarios. Yay me for figuring this out so late in the game...

Let’s message. At this point I’m feeling extremely low likelihood that I’ll try this because I’ve almost completely lost my ability to restrict and lose weight. It looks like you’re doing really well so far. I’d be happy to try to do it together but I’d fear that i might hold you back. Feel free to message me. Looks like you’re wanting to lose about 35 lbs. I honestly want to lose a lot more. I don’t want to be normal weight. I want to get to a weight where i know I’m thin and there’s no chance I’ll ever be fat again. Like 130 lbs...

Ok, I’m starting over. My weight is very high again. I think I’m just not going to post my weights again until I’m down to a weight I won’t be suicidally ashamed to admit to. I’m going to fast and stay very very low calorie (500-600) with half being lean protein like tuna or sardines, and the rest a fruit and veggies. I’m also going to record scale weight and take a body photo in the same position everyday until i get to my goals. I have a LOT to lose...

I'm 213lbs and hating it. I tried to recover and gained weight, (a lot of muscle) but ugh fat too. My LW was 134lbs and want to at least get there. My dilemma is I want to at least keep the muscle I have and lose fat.
