Sooo... here I am!

Starting my HSGD diet tomorrow. Feel free to join me! <3

Today I'll eat pretty much whatever I want. i didnt weight this morning, and I'll weight tomorrow morning.

This is the diet:

My rules:

-I will not count fruit and veggies, since I am starting to restrict, but I'll count starchy or high calories fruits and vegs, like avocado, potatoes, corn, etc

-1.5-2l of water every day

-I'll try to stay under the calorie limit with my intake, but I'll feel free to substract exercise from the intake from July 27th to august 2nd, since I'll be on holiday

-I can switch days if I need it

Today is day 1! 

I Weighed myself this morning and the result was... 81,6kg! 179,9lbs! BMI 28,9. So~ close to my highest weight~

I felt like dying  :unsure: 

Here's my stats and food diary:

Breakfast:

Porridge (110)

 

 

Lunch:

big salad with olives and feta (255)

 

 

Afternoon snack: 

1 apricot and 1 slice of watermelon (//)

 

 

Dinner:

Pasta, whole grain (245)

salad with a low fat wurstel (144+55)

 

 

Evening snack:

apple (//) and a cereal bar (78)

 

 

Tot: 876/900

Burned: 315

Net: 561/900

 

Water: 1,75l

900 cals today, but I felt pretty hungry. Maybe because I burned a lot at the gym. I worked out for about 1.30h. I spent 15 minutes on the cyclette, 15 on the elliptical, 10 on the... krankcyle? The bicycle for the arms... and 20 minutes boing various exercises for abs, legs, back, etc.

 

Sorry if my english is pretty bad, I'm italian and I'm not used to write in english!

Starting stats

Height- 5’3
Weight - 55kgs
BMI - 21.5

Measurements:

Bust- 33
Waist - 24
Hips- 34.5
Thighs - 21

Goals:
1) stick to calories
2) 10k steps per day minimum
3) no binging!!
4) try and eat less junk
5) maintain a TDEE of 2000 calories

Okay so a big reason I’m starting this diet is because I want to break the binge cycle I’m in at the moment. Whenever I don’t see the scale move, I binge and basically undo all the good I have done that week so it needs to stop!

My goal is to not weigh myself until after the end of the diet but I will do weekly body checks instead.

This week I’m having dinner out so I won’t be able to stick to my calories that day as I won’t know what I’m eating (even if I have a salad).

So I will be extending the diet by an additional week to cover this. My final day and weigh in will be the 17th of August. I have 34 days - let’s do this .

For... weeks... I tried to stick to an healthy diet, I didn't see any result and... I ate almost everything I wanted, and I snacked a lot. I gained like 5kg. I want to regain control too.

Woah! That's a big goal!

I'm down 0,3kg, and that's a small result but still a result. It has been weeks since I lost something! 

today I felt a bit hungry&weak in the morning. I guess I am really, reaaly not used to restrict anymore. But I am kinda satisfied, I see my belly and stomach a bit flatter and I feel less bloated.

It’s the worst isn’t it ??? Binging always lasts more than a day for me too

Okay so my first day didn’t go exactly to plan. I was at 500 calories and ended up going round my friends for dinner (we agreed we would make our own salads) but she ended up cooking a big curry and dessert . I asked if she would mind if I didn’t have it but I could see she had gone through a lot of effort so I ended up having some. I have no idea what the calories would be so I’m just going put today as a none success!

I will be fine sticking to my calories tomorrow and Thursday - Friday will be an estimate as i have to go out for dinner as there are no healthy options and Saturday and Sunday I will also be fine !

My official start is next Monday so I’m not going to be too hard on myself but I need to make sure I’m prepare for next week by telling friends etc I will eating healthy !

Yeah. I always start my days telling myself that I'll eat healthy and stay on track, but I end up eating whatever I want in the afternoon. ._. 

 

If you're officially starting next morning, then don't be hard on yourself. 

I don't think that curry has too many calories, if it's not made with heavy cream. So if you went over with you intake it was only few calories. And, what's more important is that you didn't binge!

Will you substract exercise calories form your intake?

Exactly - as I’m starting officially on Monday , I’m seeing this week as more of a warm up but I still don’t want to fall of track! I’m exactly the same with evening eating.. I’ve found the only thing that works is to have something nice for after dinner like a small 100 calorie dessert and then lots of zero calorie drinks !!

I won’t be subtracting exercise unless I do multiple hours in the gym.. I know I burn around 400 cals from getting in 10k- 12k steps so I will just keep doing that and sticking to the calorie limit. Anything extra I will subtract :)

Breakfast - protein bar (100)
Lunch- Greek yoghurt with fruit and peanut butter (200)
Snack - apple on a bagel (201)
Dinner - tuna salad with rice (498)

Today was a lot better than yesterday ! Excited to start this properly on Monday and get some results

Massively craving some chocolate right now but I won’t do it !

That works for me too! The small snack after dinner. 

I just have to skay on track during the day... if I start eating whenever or whatever I like, I end up having a big evening snack - like a big bowl of cereals with milk (300 kcal) or like a lot of biscuits because "I did not stay on track today, I might as well eat this". 

 

I am also craving chocolate these days. I have a big sweet tooth, and chcolate is my favourite food. It's been a while since I had some chocolate... like, a month.

We have to stay strong! <3

I'm down 1,2kg, but I know it's only water weight. Yesterday I.... uhm, peed a lot *blush*. Anyway, I was super happy when I saw this weight this morning! It is still unbeliveable to me that I am actually losing weight, after months of struggling with food without any result. I'm trying to lose weight since february, without any significant result - until now. This really motivates me to stay on track and to keep going with this diet.

 

I had a cup  of black coffee today too. Since I had one yesterday and I lost a lot... kind of a lucky charm. Haha! xD

 

Today I also went to the gym, pretty much the same workout as the other time, I have a workout schedule. I didn't feel like working out, but I still went to the gym to burn some calories...

OMG binge mind is the worst isn’t it ? Oh you ate an extra 100 calories today , might as well give up and eat another 2000!? Literally makes no sense at all.

Well done for making it a month workout chocolate !! I don’t think I could do that !
