As a parent on the spectrum, I often feel like I'm the only one despite knowing it ain't so.

Anyone else a parent AND autistic?

I'm ADHD, but my kids consultant thinks I have ASD traits. Both my kids are ADHD and ASD, kinda makes sense as it's genetic.

I'm an autistic parent! My child's 5 now and he's autistic too and it can be hard to manage sometimes with my sensory issues around making his food, calming him down during screaming tantrums and stuff. But I get through it, barely

Non-binary, 22 and sad. AN for 9 years. I'd like to recover but is it really ever gonna happen? Really?

My son's on the spectrum and, although I've never been diagnosed, various mental health professionals have suggested I might be too.  It's not a bad thing, I feel like I can relate to him a lot better because we often see things the same way.  I've considered going for a professional diagnosis, but I'm 35 now, I'm not sure what I'd really gain from it.

Just found out I’m pregnant with my first! I’ve notice there isn’t much talked about parents with autism and the unique struggles that brings. I’m currently getting ready to be evaluated for ASD and my husband has ADHD. It doesn’t sit right with me that there’s little out there for people like us, so little that we feel like someone like us, someone on the spectrum and a parent, doesn’t exist.
