Little background about me:

I'm 5'6 and currently weigh 87 kg or 191.4 lbs. My BMI is currently 31.5 (gross)

My start weight back in March/April was 112 kg. I've restricted and monoed down to my current weight however it has been fluctuating a lot recently as I've been seeing my partner more and I always cook hearty meals for us (self-sabotaging  ). I'm expecting to see him again this weekend and my sister and I want to be under 85 kg by Friday and finally under 190 lbs.

I'm making this thread in the hopes of keeping myself accountable

Yesterday 23/8/20

SW: 89.0 kg (weighed after I'd had a coffee so not as accurate)

I did a mono on chocolate hazelnut spread.

I had just under a whole jar (400 g) around 2200 cals. Consumed about 4 bottles of water (3.2 L)

Managed a gym session and burned around 190 cals

Weighed myself this morning, down to 87 kg

Total loss of around 2 kg, probably a bit less

I'm monoing on a berry protein smoothie today, will update as the day goes on  :)

SW: 87 kg

Breakfast: 750 ml smoothie (442 cals) half consumed before the gym and half after

Lunch: 2nd smoothie consumed just before work

Dinner: 3rd smoothie had at work

117973608_309046893646920_71131477429630

These were the smoothies I had

I did struggle a bit towards the end, had cravings for avocado and chicken but as I don't eat past 6 at work it's not too difficult to ignore

Weighed myself this morning and have lost 0.6 kg (1.4 lbs) from my mono so I'm now down to 86.4, hoping I can get to 85 kg tomorrow

I was going to mono on some nectarines I have in my fridge but they're looking rather sad so I may try an porridge mono instead and get some fruit for tomorrow instead.

If anyone has anything they want me to try let me know  :)

Porridge/oatmeal mono

SW: 86.4 kg

Had a very late breakfast of 2 sachets of cinnamon protein porridge made with water (354 cals)

Dinner was strawberry, raspberry and cranberry flavour (129 cals)

Total: 483 cals

Didn’t go to the gym today but I did do some workouts at home instead to assuage my guilt

Successful mono, I lost 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) quite a big loss surprisingly.

This loss now brings me down to 85.2 kg

Honeydew mono

SW: 85.2 kg (187.4 lbs)

I brought half a honeydew melon yesterday so I'm going to have half for breakfast/lunch and the rest for dinner

So I had about 800g in total, around 300 cals

Weighed myself in the morning and I've lost 0.5kg which isn't as much as I'd have liked considering how little cals I consumed but a loss is a loss so I'm happy

CW: 84.7 kg

Truth be told, I have no idea if it's all water weight but according to my scales my body fat % has decreased a bit so I must be losing some fat too. I suspect I'm probably still retaining a fair bit of water as I go to the gym most days and do a lot of weights which causes retention.

I like monos as I don't have to think about prepping food or anything and most of the time they've been fairly successful and I love seeing the number go down

I've had a craving for hummus all week so I figured I'd do a mono on it.

I brought 2 different flavours (caramelised onion and avocado) so I'm hoping that won't effect the results

Each container weighs 200 g so I'll be having 400 g in total which works out at 956 cals

I will also mention that I always consume coffees on my monos as I can't function without that hit of caffeine

So the final weight my scales settled on after yesterday was 83.5 kg, I'm not entirely sure how accurate this is as it seems like a massive drop of 1.2 kg

So my final weight of the week of monos is 83.5 kg meaning I've lost 5.5 kg this week. I won't be monoing today as I'm seeing my partner later and have to eat normally

I also took some measurements this morning and found out I've lost an inch round my hips, waist and chest this week so it definitely has to be more than just water weight that I've lost.

If anyone has any monos they want me to try next week let me know as I plan on going back to them after the weekend but I will keep this updated over the weekend if I'm not too ashamed of what I've eaten  :)

So although I'm not monoing today I thought I'd still keep this updated with what I do eat today.
I'm not having dinner at work tonight as I'll cook something when I get home for my partner and I as I can't stand the idea of a takeout tonight so instead I will have a small snack to keep me going.

Gym session: burned 238 cals doing weights

Breakfast: porridge with added protein, a nectarine and some greek yoghurt (372 cals). Higher than normal but I added more protein powder to make up for my lack of this week and to hopefully help my muscles recover from the gym sessions this week.
118090001_304603870831033_65939397873855

Snack: 200 g of strawberries (78 cals)

Dinner: 2 burgers (881 cals)
Dessert: brownie (170 cals)

Total today: 1504 cals (way to much)

Tbh I have no idea how much I’ve had today, went out for brunch with my partner and sister, had and avocado roti with 2 poached eggs and cream cheese and an awful lot of cocktails. 2 muffins- one homemade which is healthier than the others but we’re having mac and cheese for tea so it doesn’t get any better really,
I don’t want to think about how much I’ve had today 😭

So to make up for two days of unhealthy eating I'm gonna jump back into monos

I'm going to do a halo top mono today, I need to clear some space out in my freezer and I have a few half eaten tubs courtesy of my other half so I'm going to finish off the cinnamon roll and then probably have the remaining cookie dough flavour (not sure exactly how much is in either so I'm rounding up the cals). I will also leave 4 hours between the 2 flavours

I've also booked 2 gym sessions for today but whether I'll do both remains to be seen.

SW: 86.8 kg (kill me)

Breakfast: black coffee 2 cals

Lunch: cinnamon roll halo top 135 cals

Dinner: cookie dough 114 cals

Gym session: burned 498 cals

Total: -247 cals

CW: 85.0 kg meaning a loss of 1.8 kg

Gonna do a Biscoff spread mono today. I have a 400 g jar and will see how much of it I end up having.

I also picked up some bits to mono on during the week, I can only really do monos like these when I'm off work, it'd be a bit weird even for me to bring a jar of nutella or pb to work

SW: 85 kg

Ate the whole jar over the course of the day. Ended up feeling a bit sick before I went to bed but the feeling passed.

CW: 84.5 kg so down 0.5 kg

Today I'm doing a chicken mono.

I did marinate the chicken as I'm not keen on just plain chicken.

I have a total of 750 g of chicken to eat over the course of the day

SW: 84.5 kg

So I've had all of my chicken today, it was very tasty but all day I've been very hungry and towards the end just really craving more food. Not even unhealthy stuff just more but I stuck with the plan, hopefully it'll pay off tomorrow

CW: 84.6 kg gained 100 g but I'm gonna assume that its food weight tbh

So I'm not sure if this is really a mono, I was going to have just rice today but decided to throw in some chopped up kimchi into it to make it more interesting

Perhaps this is just a day of high restriction

I ended up losing 0.3 kg so down to 84.3 kg

So I've not done any monos recently. I attempted one on Thursday but it turned into a binge. Friday my partner came over and since then I've been eating very unhealthily so I think tomorrow I'm gonna go back to restricting and working out and think about maybe doing a mono later in the week

I don't even know what my weight currently is and tbh I'm too scared to find out, knowing my luck I'll be back above 90 kg again

So although I'm not currently monoing I thought I'd keep this thread updated anyway.

Yesterday (7/9/20)

SW: 87.1 kg

Total food intake: 528 cals

No gym session but a lot of walking at work, burned 645 cals

Net cals: -117 cals

Weight lost 1.2 kg (probably a lot of water weight)
