I may be reading too much into this but I am really worried the kids are picking on my body image and food issues.

I am not a parent, but I am very close with my 11 y/o  nephew and would do anything to protect that kid. He  is a lot like me, including some of the sensitivity and anxiety. I've recently noticed him seeming really self conscious and making comments like "I ate three cookies and one egg today. I don't need dinner".

Should I start worrying? How do you help your kids not pick on your ED stuff? I don't want to contribute to him feeling bad about himself, or start down the ED path.

I'm absolutely terrified my daughter is going to pick up my ED so I get this big time. I good starting point is to ask questions. Why do you feel this way? Is something going on at home? What's happening at school? Usually finding the root of the problem is the easiest way to find a solution.

Live your own life, for you will assuredly die your own death.

My son counts calories and looks at nutrition facts. I blame it on his Montessori school with the "no more than 9 grams of sugar" policy. The world gets them, not us.
