i'd rather:
be cold than sweaty
bruise easily than have red blotches on my skin
be criticized for eating too little than too much
be dainty not chubby
have clothes that are too big, not too small
i want to be the opposite of what I am right now
i don’t want to be me.

I feel like I have this problem also.I went vegan over a year ago after behind vegetarian for 15 years. All for ethical reasons. I absolutely cannot ever go back to supporting the animal agricultural industry but I gained so much weight and can’t seem to lose it? Is it lack of protein? When I was losing weight before I ate eggs every day. I don’t eat eggs anymore and drink. Protein shake instead. But even with restricting to about 800 every day I can’t lose anything. Anyone else with advise who has or hasn’t had this problem? I’m tired of hating myself and I can’t go back to eggs and dairy.

vegan made me gain too. I wasn't really watching my calories but I never ate a ton of food. looking back I believe it was just all the sugar in my smoothies, the pasta, oatmeal, toast. I never felt as shitty as when I did vegan for a few months. but I really liked eating that way. why not bring back eggs and just get them locally from a farm you can visit?

that sounds like a medical problem. you should get checked at the hospital. it's not normal to eat that little and gain weight.

but, looking back, that could be attributed to the fact that I wasn’t watching my protein whatsoever (my bloods actually came back protein-deficient at one point while I was intentionally restricting protein as a way to s/h

If you eat a plate of veggies prior to every meal, and drink water, you should have an easier time losing because you won’t eat as much of the high-cal items.

I gained when I went vegan because I felt less guilt about eating. but over all I also reached my lw (adult lw 82lb) as a vegan as well as my hw 192lb as a mostly vegan (I would eat cheese when I was drunk enough but otherwise not) so I mean it depends on what you eat and frequency. If you are having a lot of bloating and digestive issues I would look into more low fodmap foods.
